If anything has skill based matchmaking, shouldn’t it be trials?

3 RepliesClearly you don't know what trials is and how sbmm works... Sbmm does not mix with trials. Stop asking for ideas like this when it will make flawless even more impossible for you.

Why would trials have sbmm? That makes literally no sense.

2 RepliesNo. Trials us the end game, hard core pvp mode. Trials never had or should never have skill based matchmaking as it is against the spirt of the game mode. The only skill based matchmaking us for players themselves to decide that they are good enough to play. While Bungie has made it easier for players to play Trials and get rewards they will only hold your hand so far. If you want to go to the Lighthouse you have to prove you are worthy by defeating all opposition no matter what skill level they are. So you think you are good enough.... OK but don't expect Bungie to give you easy wins for YOUR decision to play a hard core mode. No one is forcing you to play Trials. As a wise man once said "if you can not take the heat stay away from the fire".

2 RepliesCBMM has been the worst MM system used in Destiny. It allowed the players who never touched grass to get better while the ones who knew how to live to never improve. It is a horrible system. SBMM should have never left the game in pursuit of connection or CBMM especially when dedicated servers do not exist in this game. Anybody who believes CBMM is a better system are just as delusional in thinking Destiny currently is in the best state. This game is crying for core systems improvements that fix the game for what it needs versus what the community wants.

They would have implemented it by now if they were going to change it. Trials still fails to attract players of the low to mid skilled brackets. The revamp wasn’t enough. The flawless pool wasn’t enough. Even freelance was not enough. Just give up on trials, honestly. Your frustrated and not having fun. Trials gear is not worth it. It will NEVER be worth it. I never played a single game of trials as I know I’m not going to get anywhere and it’s pointless to even try. You might want to consider never playing trials again.
