I made a post about this a while back, and the response I got was that Bungie was actively working on it, and that you should report the message/sender However Bungie is not paying us to do so. So instead Bungie, since the companies who post this have their website linked in the message, maybe follow that, check em out, fire up the old legal team and slap em with a cease and desist?

  • They can send a cease and desist but they would just shut down that site and start a new one. Not to mention the vast amounts of forums, discord servers, telegram servers, etc that are made exclusively for paid carries. Tbh I don’t see how they stay around. I checked out one site and the prices were outrageous. I’ve never seen such a rip off lol.

So what’s the alternative? Just keep getting spammed ad infinitum? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Let’s be honest, something needs to be done on Bungie’s end, because enough players are being affected by this and it is becoming more than a nuisance. If it’s considered illegal to sell services via the platform, then by logic there should be legal ramifications in place in case something like that happens

  • Wait... So you don't report people because bungie doesn't have you on pay roll?

  • No, I do report them. The sentence is meant to illustrate the fact that Bungie is relying on players to filter these messages out, but not tackling the cause of the problem sufficiently. So far, I keep getting spammed by the same 3 or 4 companies, right? Different bot account each time, but the info in the message is the same. If Bungie actually sees our reports, which are flagged properly according to their own system, plus they can read the message we reported, and can use the link or other info that the offending company themselves provide in their message…… 1+1=2….how has this not been resolved yet? They know everything they need to know. They just don’t act on it. And if they are acting on it, they’re not communicating that properly to their players
