A Sure Way to get Raid Exotics

Not interested. Keep things the way they are. It’s not broke so don’t fix it.

Forget the spoils of conquest; I like the idea of there being a mercy rule for rng.

After so many attempts, the raid exotic ought to become purchasable with a spoils currency.

Who let this guy in here; someone please show him the exit sign ;)

Let’s say you’re the guy who has run the vault of glass or some other current raid a countless number of times only to walk away empty handed still, in your pursuit of that particular raid exotic. Instead of feeling hopeless and burned out, wouldn’t it be comforting and encouraging to know that you have a sure path of obtaining it by way of the spoils of conquest, grinding the raids you love while saving up for the raid exotic you covet? In gacha games the player gambles their money away in hopes of obtaining an in game item, yet there’s a mercy limit placed so that at least it drops after a certain number of pulls. Here we gamble away our time, but what if there were some sort of mercy rule that kicks in? If not by a rule with rng stating that you’re guaranteed the drop after so many tries, than at least by the spoils of conquest we could grind our way to that desired weapon or catalyst that has not been favorable in dropping for quite some time. The said exotic can become purchasable only after the raid has been cleared and a certain number of people in the community have obtained it? Maybe? Also there’s a spoils of conquest currency unique to each raid exotic so that you can’t just pull from your savings from previous raids. What do you think?

  • In FF14 every time you complete a trial you get a totem for said boss, when you get 50 you can buy 1 item from said activity, bungie should implement thus system to their raids. I am at 80 vog clears and have yet to have 1 vex drop

I would be fine with it as I have a grudge with touch of malice at the moment. It seems very illusive and picks favorites. A family member of mine has gotten it back to back while clan mates I regularly play with haven't gotten it yet at all despite frequent raids, I'm at 9 clears, wouldn't be surprised of I get it MAYBE by my 30th run. 20th if I'm lucky. I had a friend who farmed deep stone for 6 months before getting eyes of tomorrow. I personally hate this feeling of grinding only to not get it. I wouldn't mind it IF, and this is a big If, bungie implements a mercy system where we get it after certain clears, so say...30 allows us to purchase it. It at least is a safety net and some guarantee even if we don't get it right away
