Wait til weekly reset. Start up a fresh crucible match.
Very first match:
• Dumped in an ongoing match as replacement
• Against stacks
• Down by 25+ points from the start
Leave, and get suspended for leaving
Bungie, I don’t mind losing. I’m not good at crucible and I’m 100% fine with that! I play it for fun and to try to get better. Plus, I agree leaving matches early should be addressed.
The keyword there is leaving early.
This feels like one-sided overkill to someone who’s dumped into a losing match as a replacement without choice.
Maybe give us the ability to opt out of inclusion in ongoing matches? I don’t mind longer queues for better matchmaking. I imagine a lot of players wouldn’t.

1 ReplyThis has always been the solo player experience despite what matchmaking settings they have on, and it usually happens multiple times per play session. I think they mentioned a while ago that next season they will finally start matchmaking teams vs other teams so that might help a bit, but in my opinion the real reason why people quit so much is both the teambalancing and bad connection quality (due to both crossplay and poor geolocation). You can’t blame people for leaving when the game constantly does a very bad job in balancing the teams and your team doesn’t stand a chance even when there are no large premade teams in the lobby, or if the opponents don’t take damage (which happens all the time ever since crossplay was implemented).
