The reason why the hunter class litters trials is because they are the best PvP class, hands down. When optimal ttk hovers around .000009 milliseconds then of course a dodge ability that lets you exit combat quickly is the best ability. Leave them be.
Make Titans beefier so that it doesnt take one easy dodge ability to shift the tide of a gunfight. While the hunter dodges once, Titans should have a chunk of health left to chase them down.
Warlocks should have the MOST one shot abilities(Yes, I said it). If you catch a warlock with a grenade left you have to respect that youre not going to tank through or dodgeroll out of the way
To return to Bungie’s mistake of centering PvP around 6v6 modes- when you have more players on the field you have to lower the TTK- and this naturally benefits the hunter class, which is not the hunter’s fault it’s Bungie’s fault for mixing business with pleasure ie. Mixing high octane, high stakes, guns or glory games like CoD with power fantasies and space magic
In a game that panders to the CoD playerbase the dodgeroll class will always win
Reduce team size, let Titans and Warlocks rise. Add 1v1 and 2v2 casual playlists. Let each gunfight feel like a *Battle* or a game of chess instead of an oldschool western shootout
Or not, idk. PvP feels empty- and its not just loot
