The fact that most players are locked out of endgame activities for weeks to months because they dont have control over how they increase their light-level is tragic. People are spending too much time grinding D2 instead of actually learning about and enjoying D2.
The random RNG leveling system/gatekeeping mechanic Bungie calls the pinnacle ‘leveling’ system burns most players out because most players have lives outside of D2.(sorry, not sorry)
I know Bungie employees, streamers, and children are insulated from real world time constraints but the fact of the matter is most normal people can’t and don’t want to spend hours ‘grinding’ out a leveling system that they have literally 0 control over.
The pinnacle system is a toxic, manipulative tool that harms the franchise more than it helps retain a strong playerbase
Fix it.

1 ReplyBruh. I took me 3 weeks to max out on pinnacles. "Months" is bullshit. I got like 15 drops of random -blam!- when all I needed was boots on my Warlock and still maxed him out by the 3rd week. Before you say I have no life, you too can max if you were spending your time doing only pinnacles cause once you are max you can do all the other stuff next.
