I made a post before about this topic, and I just want to clarify the main points. Also, there are a PLETHORA of ways to reduce effectiveness in PvP, so keep your shirt on and hear me out.
At some point(after Lightfall most likely), the Stasis subclasses should be added to and polished a bit, while sticking to the power fantasy of the element. Meaning:
1. New unique grenades, melees, and supers. More options for the player to build with, making the subclasses more dynamic and find more uses in all content.
2. Stasis shards made intrinsic to the classes, like ionic traces. Perhaps slightly reduced effectiveness, but even still. This would even out the aspects to the same number as the light subclasses.
3. At least 1 Stasis-themed buff. Stasis shards and fragments that increase ability regen don't count, because literally every class has those kind of fragments and Stasis shards are too similar to orbs, elemental wells, and ionic traces, which are not the same as Devour, Radiant, and Amplified. I even had some suggestions for Stasis buffs, like being surrounded with protective crystals or having a chilling aura. I also suggested new types of Stasis crystals and a frozen ground mechanic, just to give more paths that new abilities and weapons can use with this element.
4. Additionally, there hasn't been a new Stasis exotic weapon released in over a year. C'mon.
I'm not saying Stasis is garbage, but it definitely feels lacking in options, from abilities to exotics. If Bungie wants Stasis to be a core Damage type, then it should be added to like the others.
Again, it would be awesome if the folks at Bungie take note of this. Making content takes a while, but getting more Stasis in a year or two is 100% better than not at all. Thanks.
