All too often bungies ideas of difficulty ring hollow. Our Guardians cannonically are immortal, this provides a perfect jump off point to an possible new path....
Why not introduce a form of the nemesis system (thinks games like Shadow of War) to certain enemies. Where they learn and advance themselves ....Maybe not all but a form of it.
This can add a story element to our deaths and a potential path for earning new rewards etc.
Not only this but give the gane a way to naturally increase in difficulty etc. Issues with Raid bosses and other content may be at odds with this idea but still It would feel more natural than just heres another overload/unstop/barrier champ that we've recycled over a million times or worse just forcing us to be under light level.....
