Let me count the reasons:
1. SBMM but no lobby balancing. Landslides are still the norm at my skill level.
2. Poor connection. This has always been an issue but it's pretty bad right now.
3. Absolutely 0 loot. Nothing that drops is really worth chasing. Oh boy, another out of bounds. (yes I know it's good but I have so many its lost all meaning)
4. Winning or losing means absolutely nothing, and it shouldn't, but apparently does? (Edit for clarity: It really doesn't mean anything, but bads think it does and now we have #6)
5. Matches in session. I love loading into a match in progress to be immediately supered by a team leading by 40 or more points. I do. No really.
6. Leaver Penalties. You fail to provide players with quality matches, and then penalize them when they try and do it themselves.
So you tell me, as a dedicated PvP player, what is my incentive to enter the control playlist? Because very little of this makes for an enjoyable experience. And if it's not fun, then what's left?

7 RepliesWhy play PvP besides pinnacles?

23 RepliesIt’s a glorious time here in Destiny. Why?… Because I see 2 things… Sweat with Tears. Sweating and Crying. Haha! Maybe it’s time to go. Just wanna say this though… “THIS AIN’T THE AIRPORT SWEATIES” (🤣I did it again! I always wanted to say that. Haha!)
-
1 ReplyEverything you listed happens with CBMM also (except leaver penalties). Yes I support those penalties. Your tears are delicious.
-
2 RepliesMake a playlist with clash, supremacy, and zone control. Make it CBMM and call it classic mix. Oh wait……..
-
Agreed.

1 ReplyBest to play Elim or rumble

20 RepliesSo you've broken down the reasons you don't enjoy a particular mode in a videogame that you don't have to play. Nice job. Now do the rest of the game.
-
You forgot the insane amount of lag that is now present in control! How could you forget that!
-
2 RepliesAll the other modes are the exact same as they were last season. Ever since Bungie relaxed matchmaking parameters, loose SBMM Control has felt the exact same as CBMM Control did last season. If all you enjoyed was stomping kids in Control, then you're not really a PVP main.
-
8 RepliesYou play because you like it and like competing. If you want loot do things that give better loot. Idk what the issue is here. Play another mode.
-
10 Replies1. it is loose SB and even more loose at the extreme ends. (in the TWAB) 2. they are trying to alleviate bad connections with ^ but again at the extreme ends it will be worse. 3. the only loot to ever chase in pvp has been in IB, Trials, and once upon a time comp. So yeah i don't get why you're complaining about something that was never a thing to begin with. 4. doesn't even make sense. 5. leaver penalties should alleviate this. 6. they implemented this because a high volume of high skilled players have been abandoning matches, and if those numbers even out they will adjust or remove the penalty (TWAB) so stop leaving and the penalty will probably go away eventually.

2 RepliesThe best part about this is all of the "sweats" have now been playing against a higher skill bracket compared to the norm, while lower tiered players are playing against their "equals". So higher skilled players are being forced to refine their skills even further What happens when the best go supersaiyan and come back to normal cbmm? I wonder

Edited by Jamestown01010: 9/23/2022 12:21:37 AMThey ruined the SBMM already. It was good for a couple weeks, now there are many blowouts and big spreads in individual scores.

DiReCtFXStacks Are Pathetic - old
U know #5 and # 6 are intertwined inevitability . So if u can keep quitting without penalty who do u think made those teams that you join mid game ?? Quitters . What u mean now? Why did u play last season it was worse with stacks farming easy kills , more quitters and that equaled more joining mid game at huge disadvantage. If players didn’t go stacking and stat padding in Control previous seasons then wouldn’t have needed extra measures this season as it all cause and effect. Blame the tryhards why were they playing control like it was competitive in previous seasons if it wasn’t competitive ? Why would they leave if match would hurt their K/D stats or if the would lose ? -
2 Replies1 - it was same in CBMM and that didnt bother you 2- It was worse than this for many others. 3 - Were there any loot before SBMM? 4 - If winning or losing dont matter and shouldnt, why are you even bringing it up as a point? 5 - It is same as before.... again you didnt whine about it before 6 - dont quit, its not that hard. More incentives are always nice, but acting like there was an incentive before and there is none now is hypocritical

1 ReplyEasy play for heck of it and dont worry about winning or losing or even kills. Just play the game. If you dont like it hop to another game.
-
1 ReplyDoesn’t sound like you enjoy it so don’t play it. Maybe try another mode.

3 RepliesEdited by AubsTheBelieber: 9/22/2022 10:08:07 PM3: No Loot. Bull--blam!-. It drops Riptides and Crisis Inverted. How can you say there is no loot when you are getting your 50th Riptide?

Thank you for this.

1 ReplyControl is just not worth playing anymore. Sometimes making unnecessary changes, such as skill base match making, to a play list which I personally though was suppose to be chill and relaxed so that you can just kick it with clan mates, friends, or just at the end of the work day, is not needed. Now before someone here comes and says ohhh cry some try hard or sweaty, I’m not a sweat. I play the game when I have an opportunity. I been playing since D1 release and seen lots and lots of changes but does every party of the game need to be so time consuming and always try hard ? I think there were more important issues in crucible beside making it SBMM.

absolutely beautiful

1 ReplyBring exile armor to control!
-
1 ReplyThere is no incentive, Im only playing for the weekly pinnacle at this point. Im not gonna sweat my buff off without a single top tier loot worth chasing. Control is not even competitive, getting penalized is silly.

I wouldn’t play any pvp in destiny

8 RepliesThe fact that the only people down for SBMM and Quitter penalties are just statistically bottom of the barrel trash players 😂 They finally get to pick on better players behind Bungie’s protection and are definitely loving it. Quitting penalties under any MM in non-competitive modes are dumb. No one plays for anything other than their entertainment. They shouldn’t be forced to stay in casual modes especially during a MM that’s still getting experimented on…
