Is Bungie ever going to start riding books based off the lore? I feel like the destiny world could be the first fantasy to be on the same level as toilkens middle earth. It's completely original with a story that's a million times more interesting than Star wars. Seems like it would be a real shame if it never becomes anything more than a video game.

So far they’ve released four lore compendiums and a children’s book (D is for Destiny), but nothing approaching a novelization. With Sony’s acquisition of Bungie to pursue the Destiny license in other forms of media, I’d say the chances of a novel or series of books has at least increased somewhat. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)

Lol at "riding" And Bungie already wrote a cookbook.

2 RepliesTolkien’s middle earth will never be achieved by bungie. Tolkien’s work was on another level. I’ve read LOTR. Also bungie doesn’t even keep to their own lore in game. Ie Osiris and Saint were (in OG lore) like brothers and weren’t gay. They’ve had so many people come and go that they don’t seem to care about sticking to lore and more on what is inclusive and new which makes sense as it brings in new people and makes others feel welcome. Star Wars will always be better than destiny; unless bungi pulls some kind of banger ending out of their butts.

1 ReplyIt will be hard for anyone to reach the point of J.R.R Tolkien. That man is a legend. But I do see where your going and I agree. I cool anthology of smaller stories in the Destiny universe would be cool.
