Postmaster space has become a huge problem I think bungie you should add more sections of postmaster space to keep players from coming back to tower to clean our postmasters every time we end an activity it’s an issue needs to be adressed sooner than later

The system is flawed regardless of whether or not you use the postmaster for storage. When you reach a certain light, blue drops are just unnecessary. I clear my stuff before I go into something I'm likely to stay in queue for (strikes, gambit, lost sectors, etc). I did the lost sector 4 times and had 16 items in my postmaster - 3 legendary and 13 blues - 5 that were lower light. Why should I have to stop what I'm doing, pull up my phone to get on an outside app or return to the tower to delete stuff I don't need just so I can continue to play a game. Kind of disrupts the flow of things. The Bungie app was broken for a while after the season dropped so you really couldn't access it or get it to transfer anything. I'm sure there's a reason for material caps, but if people want to hoard materials let them. Drop material caps and they won't go to the postmaster.

3 RepliesThe problem is the amount of blues that we are getting. If they had an auto dismantle this wouldn't be an issue.

Edited by Say Whatt: 9/21/2022 7:46:21 PMOf all the things in this game that need or have been addressed, this is definitely the last one. If you are on PC, use DIM. Then you no longer have to visit the Post Master. Even if you aren’t on PC, bring it up in a browser on your phone or computer. -blam!-, they might even have an app at this point!

This isn't even a problem If you're maintaining your inventory. Sure, stuff will get sent to post master but like... even in game you get a notification that's hard to miss when your postmaster is filled. Now, what I consider a problem that's been around since day 1 is Rahool selling planetary materials without giving us the option to buy X amount of materials at once. Having to press x 200 times is not ideal.

Not manager material

They can’t. Same with vault space. It’s a tech issue. -
1 Replyso it has nothing to do with running with a full inventory, storing things in the postmaster, or not being aware of apps that can check your postbox without returning to the tower huh?

Edited by TheShadow: 9/20/2022 6:28:54 PMThe space isn't the problem, Bungie is the actual problem. It's funny how they made sure to shove the shop in our face putting it in the directory, but they refuse to put the postmaster there. Some players will say "don't use it as storage, yet Bungie does, but for whatever dumb reason after 8 years that haven't figured out how to utilize items to minimize the hassle, nor have they looked for any solutions even though there has been all kinds of suggestions that would actually help for years now. Flooding the game with a bunch of junk loot has made matters worse, and things like not being able to dismantle all at once doesn't help either. So what it all boils down to is that Bungie's has created the problem, but refuses to do anything about.

13 RepliesThe issue isn't postmaster space. The issue is material cap limits. The fact we are capped with the amount of certain materials we can have/carry on us creates other issues like lack of vault space (red borders/neutral materials), postmaster space (having to leave upgrade materials), not being able to progress with vendors without wasting materials (upgrade materials), etc. If they got rid of cap limits, other issues would get resolved.

2 RepliesEdited by Asylum: 9/21/2022 3:17:09 AMOk, i can barely see why ppl "need" vault space even though mines never seen over 200 (i see no reason to keep 10 rolls of everything that drops)... But needing more postmaster space? Thats new. Why are you running around with full inv when you cant even use it all and DIM is a thing? Hell, DIM will even let you make custom loadouts that swap at the click of a button, its eveb faster thab equiping it yourself from inv 😂

1 ReplyBungie has stated on so many occasions, DO NOT use the postmaster for storage or you risk losing items, This is avoidable if you just used an app like Dim or Ishtar where you can drag items from your postmaster to your character and then dismantle them.
-
2 RepliesBetter idea: put a 24-hour time limit on all items in the postmaster so people will stop using it as storage.

Or, hear me out cause this might sound CRAZY to you, how about you just clean your guardian inventory and maintain it organized? there's 0 real scenarios where you need to have all the slots filled all the time, had you kept your inventory clean you wouldn't need to go back to the tower to clear your postmaster after every activity.
-
1 ReplyI once heard a rumour that punctuation existed. It may well be simply an old wives tale, but can anyone confirm this?
-
....clean out your postmaster.
-
Clean it out before doing an activity and then clean it out after and you’ll never have an issue. It’s not an extension of your vault.

1 ReplyThey can fix 95% of the post master and inventory/ consumables space simply by uncapping the amount of things like ascendant shards and spoils of conquest you can hold.

Auto dismantle blues option would do it for me
