Metrically speaking, it's laggy as all get out, Ketchcrash is the only relatively fun thing introduced, and the weekly missions are the most barebones excuses for content I've seen.
Narrative and story wise, what happened? Last season was a commentary on trauma in all of our favorite characters. This season had an opportunity to be a dark struggle for Eliksni allegiance with The Spider with uncertain motives and mystery surrounding the relics, but no. Instead of that we get cringy Drifter jokes as "dialogue," reskinned lost sectors as "pirate hideouts," and Spider's shell game as "rewards."
I'm just so frustrated with how little you seem to care about the quality of your production. I feel bad for the rendering artists and VAs that carry this operation. Please try to have at least some content or tell a compelling story. So far, we're 0-2.

1 ReplyActivity wise, this season is definitely on the "light-side". Ketchcrash - becomes a little too repetitive after a while Expeditions - I feel that it has an identity crises on what type of activity it wants to be because it uses (or re-uses) mechanics from a number of prior and current activities in such a way that it doesn't really work in a cohesive manner. Pirate Hideouts - ignoring the reused (reskinned) Tangled Shore lost sectors, this was a huge missed opportunity to have an engaging activity such as the Server missions from last season or the Shattered Realm from Lost. Instead we get a one and done mission that is lucky to last more than 10 minutes. Story wise, I am enjoying the conflict between Misraaks and Spider and their connection to one another as well as to Eramis. As for Eido and her part, I would like to see more between her and her father with them juggling their roles as Kell and Scribe along side their father / daughter relationship. Drifter - yea he does have fair amount of cringy dialogue. It feels like the writers have borrowed all of the bad tropes and clichés of his character type and thrown it into the story. It is as if they are trying make Drifter the new "Cayde-6" for the comedic NPC of the franchise.
