Can you please stop gearing the game to no life players? If you need to make a special mode for people who spend their entire lives playing this game, trying to treat it like a double full time job, then certainly you can charge them individually for it. Please stop writing this game to require hundreds of hours to get simple things done.
As an example, weapon patterns. Especially raid weapon patterns. The rarity that you have red bordered weapons currently set to is flat out insulting. It takes dozens of hours this season to get even a single seasonal weapon pattern unlocked. Extrapolate this to raids, and the fact you can only get one loot drop a week from raids, and it is clear you are only writing your game for streamers and youtubers now, people who treat the game like a double full time job. Even those like Gladd who try to pretend that they dont spend all of their time immersed in a small number of games are clearly spending dozens of hours more than any player with a normal life will be able to spend.
This is especially horrible because your most loyal, long term players now have at least full time jobs, and families, so whe exactly do you expect any of us to have time for this stuff. The only normal people who have time for the ridiculous grind you have created in the game are childrens with no jobs. Yet, the overt -blam!- you allow in the game through what you allow many players to portray is specifically not for children with no jobs. Your game making makes no sense anymore.
The last item to address here is money. Who has the money to pay for your game, year after year? Who has the money to buy silver and buy extra content? You know this is not children without jobs. You are often making the game unplayable unless people destroy their home lives, or force Destiny in as a focal point of their whole family. This is unacceptable on many levels in many ways, to expect gamers to disrupt their entire lives and orbit Bungie and Destiny. As much as I admire your obvious goals of helping to make the world a better place, you make a game. It should NOT be a dominating force in people's lives to get everything out of the game. No other good game does this.
I do not think that Destiny has ever been as bad as it is now. This is not about too much content. This is about how horrible your loot drop rates are, and how long getting to things in the game takes. I did not spend $100 a year ago to have to spend 5 weeks getting a single weapon pattern. How well did that go over in year 1 of Destiny 2? I was patient through that whole mess, and gave you the benefit of the doubt that you would never again lose touch with your community that badly. Yet, here we are. You guys have convinced yourselves that you haven't done horrible things to the game by always pointing to all the things there are to do. However, it becomes pretty obvious that you are completely out of touch with the rest of the world, and are only focused on a small minority of players that spend a genuinely unhealthy amount of time in the game, unless they get extremely lucky.
When will you start writing the game to fit your community at large, and stop spoiling no life players and ruining it for everyone else? There are a lot of us that have paid for a full year of content that many of us have not been able to access even half of because of what you demand in return in addition to the $100 for your game. I already got my preorder for Lightfall refunded, and will not be playing that year at all if you cannot get your stuff together and learn how to be a community game again. I am aware that is the last year of Destiny 2. Why should we reward Bungie with hundreds of millions of dollars when they expect us to work for them beyond full time to actually get to most of the content in the game? We clearly shouldn't.
I am giving this warning now. Anyone trolls my post here, you just get blocked. I am not falling for the toxic devs in here that attack posts they dont like and try to start fights. I will just block you, because the people that do this always begin with harassment.

The thing is, Weapon Crafting is a secondary system. You are suppose to get the patterns over time. That’s why they themselves are an RNG drop themselves. You are not suppose to grind for it, but if you do, why punish those players. By no means does it cater to no lives and other such people, but to make the system easier for you to get won’t solve the issue, and would Infact add more. I understand that people don’t like to take so long to get all the patterns or other such things, but it extends the life of the game much further if it were just the story. Destiny is not a single person story based game. It is a looter shooter. You shoot things and loot things. You don’t always get the best stuff right away, but you have a chance. The reason I say Weapon crafting is secondary is because you still have a chance to get a god role. Chances are you would use that god role till you get all the weapon patterns. Eventually you get the craftable weapon, and grind that so that you can get the better versions of the requested perk. The No lives who grind hours straight for it are first of all, no lives, and second of all, crazy. Of course they are going to get things before you. You don’t play nearly as much as they do. You don’t spend all the time in the world as they do. Bungie does not cater to them, but instead does not punish them for grinding ahead. These people are the same to go into a Raid Race to try and win. Do a solo GM. Solo Flawless a Dungeon. You can not say Bungie caters to them.
