Right now, ~it is fairly primitive. Leave twice, get a suspension ( in my case). Both was due to an already lost match on the "worst" map "Twilight Gap", it is my one map, everyone has one, it is mine, and it is hell for me to play it.
My recommendation, it should use a formula based on how many were completed prior to suspension or in recent times. For example, I had easily 10+ completed recently, I think in this case 3 for suspension could be fair amount. It could also affect the severity, for example: 30 minutes is better than 60, considering the fact I was not spam leaving matches.
Anyway, the idea is that it should be "RELATIVE" to actual play habits, it is okay to punish people who leave 40%+ of the matches, it is kind of not cool to punish those who leave 5-10%, especially because it is well within the technical error range.
This version would not pass my QA for sure, feels like little thought was given to it, and double punishes people who already struggle getting any progression out of the pvp modes. When it comes to technical issues, it is even worse, - why should a player get suspended for a server side or routing induced disconnect?
Once again very disappointed, such an aggressive handling of a minority issue. Truth is, the quality of the matches is far from perfect both for skill AND connection matches, could assign more resources to those areas, that would have a direct impact on players staying in the matches as well as promote a healthy/inclusive community,- this act will once more divide and pit players against each other for no reason.
Sometimes having a "quick fix" is worse than having none at all. This is one of those times.
Play nice.
