Is there a way to expose a cheater/network manipulator?

I know for a fact that I met with my team a person just like the one I describe in the title, in Trials of Osiris. I remember the ID, even used the report option in-game and here in Bungie's website. But not sure if it'll do anything. We were streaming the game, though, as proof. We seriously believe so. My question is: Is it wrong to expose the id of the cheater publicly and will I be punished for doing so?

  • My apologies for suggesting an awful attitude in the heat of the moment. My anger got the better of me. I hope you can understand where my frustrations were. Won't happen again. Promise.

  • By posting their tag or any vid footage is against forum code of conduct and as such YOU can get in trouble with the Ninjas. Bungie stands against name and shame conduct and any reports of cheating on these forums does nothing. You did the report and leave it at that. Reports build up until that person is flagged for investigation by Bungie staff who if they find anything will take action. Every day on the #Help forum page we see people kicking off about being banned and those are only the ones who think that playing nieve, apologetic or just making a fuss will get them back into the game.

    • If you suspect cheating or abuse, report them via the in game tool or If does not work, you can try the Manual Tool or reportinging from your game history. Bungie's SRT does not review forums for reports.
