Accessibility Issues - Finding Waypoints and Navigating the Map
Hello!
I am a legally blind gamer -blam!- got into Destiny 2, and I am having a lot of fun with the game so far. However, as someone with significantly reduced vision, one of the biggest barriers I face is navigating to waypoints or objective markers. For me, the waypoints on the overworld itself do not stand out from everything else; they seem to really blend in with buildings/environments, even in navigation mode. This issue can be really compounded in missions that rely on platforming (e.g. I was only able to do the Spark of Hope mission with my cousin, who had to stand on certain platforms and shoot at me for me to figure out the correct path from one platform to the next).
I'm not a game developer or anything so I don't know how feasible these would be, but I do have a couple of suggestions for additional accessibility settings/changes:
1. Add options to customize what the objective markers look like (color, shape, maybe adding a bold outline to it or something).
2. Add a "clairvoyant path" system, or an in-game action that will create a lighted path on the ground that will lead you to the objective (maybe a button or button combination in navigation mode). The idea for the name of this setting comes from my experience playing Skyrim, and using the clairvoyance spell to help me get to where I need to go.
3. Spawn to Fireteam - When you die, give an option to spawn to a fireteam member's location, instead of your previous one (e.g. after dying, viewing a fireteam member and pressing the respawn button will spawn you at their location).
I'd be happy to answer or follow-up with additional information if it would be helpful. I really appreciate your team's commitment to an inclusive and enjoyable gaming experience!
