I just played a game of survival. By the way i have 400 hours plus played on D2. And i get match against a player who has played D2 for 4469 hours with 50 000 more kills than me. I don’t understand how this matchmaking system works. I have been away from the game for a year now and i don’t think ill be ever coming back to it again. I have a 2,65 KAD while playing solo. But getting match against no life come on!

6 RepliesLol man, I feel ya 🤣 I started D2 in February and previous season is the 1st time I tried pvp. I had like zero kills in pvp and went into Rumble, there I matched against a guy with over a million kills in Crucible, I kid you not. 😅 It was immediately clear to me what D2 pvp was. I played Survival for a seasonal challenge some time later. I won 2 matches with randoms and on the third match the other team were 2 gilded flawless guys with over 500k kills in Crucible. They obliterated my team. Survival had sbmm as far as I knew. Matchmaking in this game is gigantic BS. Broken AF.

2 RepliesSBMM has nothing to do with hours played. Also, SBMM is easy to manipulate. Get your worst fireteam member, preferably with crap efficiency, make them fireteam leader. Now, your team of sweats and one subpar are taking on players that average a k/d somewhere between negative, and non-existent.

Don't look back

That might have been a good matchup because if they have 4000 more hours than you and only 50,000 more kills somethings probably going on with that. Unless you're talking about total playtime in the whole game.

4 RepliesLow population playlist as well. No incentive outside of a soon to be retired title and nerfed weapons. Thanks bungo and the cry babies that made it so.

It does work but not for montages

1 ReplyYou’re just out of practice.

1 ReplyComp is CBMM. Controll is the only SBMM

1 ReplyEdited by ishikusui: 9/17/2022 10:53:58 PMThe new Loose SBMM settings are only active in the Control playlist. EDIT: clarification

The amount of hours you’ve played does not necessarily correlate to how skilled a player is. It is possible you were at a similar skill level, despite the difference in game time. Anyway, in my experience, Elimination and Survival have loose SBMM. It should increase your chances of matching similarly skilled players, but it won’t match you with similarly skilled players every time.
