Seeing how the Solstice event was handled and how the reveler title needs the player to complete event cards for each of the seasonal events, it makes me feel they are likely to be the exact same; a new activity where you use resources that you gather through general gameplay to obtain the seasonal goodies and only 1, or 2 if lucky, new items to get.
Please please please do not have the mindset of "oh, this activity is only around once a year, so we need players to do it as much as they can before it's gone." It's a limited-time, special, holiday event. It shouldn't have tons and tons of grinding attached to it. It should be fun and rewarding. Please don't have ridiculous bs requirements on the cards again like "25 matches" or make the activity needed to be grinded at least 30+ times per character.
Some grinding is to be expected, and that's fine. Just please don't make it so much that it ruins the event.

2 RepliesI think Bungie should go “all in,” on events and add adept event weapons to shake things up. Would be a way to increase engagement in the event.
-
3 RepliesWe hear you, warlocks are overpowered. All warlock characters have been disabled until further notice. \s

I liked the Haunted Forest, those were fun, more fun than listening to some lame awoken and his ghost talk about random crap in the Haunted sector thing...
-
Don't make it at all.... Let's grind for another horror story...
-
1 ReplySolstice was pretty easy though. Took 1 week to complete it all.
-
What you ask: “Please dont make events a grind fest” What Bungo hears: “Please make the events more grindy and tedious with pathetic rewards” Bet you cant guess what wins out.
-
Oh man, you said "please". Now Bungie is going to make them extra grindy.
-
I'm confused. If you know full well Bungie is going to make Festival and the Dawning as grindy as Solstice was, what makes you think they'll go easy on us? Bungie never gives us a chance to breathe with this game.
-
You think this was asked in advance? These teams work on seasons months ahead of time. You're too late.
-
Noted. Increasing grind.
-
Just don’t play any ritual stuff until the event. You can get all the weekly challenges done at once.

Bungie: "So, we've taken this comment into account of Festival of the Lost & The Dawning because we love our community, so much so that we're even willing to get down on it with the author behind thud comment. So, to ensure these upcoming seasonal events are just right, we at Bungie has decided to flat out ignore your request and instead make the event 50x more grindfest than originally thought. We hope tbat this change reflect our love and commitment to our community that loves this game that we made."

Get your cookie oven ready!

Honestly, Solstice wasn't that bad of a grind overall. The only problem was that they didn't activate the boosters until the last week.
-
5 RepliesIf they didn't make it as grindy as it has been, people would lose interest after Day 2, instead of however many weeks it takes. It's also ridiculously less grindy than what it used to be when I first started.

I agree. Those times I’m generally spending more time with family and friends and not playing as much video games, so it’d be nice to be able to keep up with the events too while being away.
