unsunsetting old content ? and how it could go about
With the announcement of no more campaign sunsetting they said they want this saga to be played start to finish well shadowkeep isnt the start of this saga its just the start of the pyramid and darkness story. so if the new engine upgrades are able to bring back everything pre shadowkeep heres what id like to see
returning campaigns from back from d1 to forsaken if they cant bring back the destinations id be totally cool with being able to replay campaigns through the legends menu like with the raids having closed off areas from the old maps it’d make the missions more linear but not a huge detriment heck even see if a legendary version can be made, seasonal stories are less likely to come back simply cause of how their structured but seeing the activities come back via vanguard ops doesnt sound like too much of a stretch
If they can bring back old destinations go all out and bring back old strikes and their respective exclusive loot, crucible maps maybe even some new gambit maps for them, maybe a few future story teases, triumphs and collectables to re-explore them
bring back exotic weapons and armour and legendary armour and weapons, if it makes sense to do so alot of d1’s exotic weapon and armour perks can already be found and were made more accessible gameplay wise in D2 so if old exotics can be reworked in some way itd be nice to see a few return via secret quests, dares of eternity or the monument of the lost
maybe see some old D1 ships, sparrows and ghosts return as triumph rewards, world drops or the archives portion of eververse
last but not least the inevitable return of the leviathan raids, scourge of the past, wrath of the machine and a reworked crotas end as a dungeon
