This was by far the best secret mission destiny has ever seen. I will even go as far to say this was better than the black spindle mission in D1. Bungo you know what to do.

It would be funny if there was one in the game right now that no one has found yet.
-
I just loved the concept of a secret mission where theres absolutely no context about its loot and what it actually was, just mystery.
-
Yeah these were some of the best content in the game. I’m not sure why they stopped doing them.
-
They probably stopped doing these kind of surprises because players wants to know EVERYTHING before it gets released. Even if it means data mining / leaking infos. Honestly i would be pissed if i was preparing a surprise just to see a ton of dumbdumb showing it everywhere on social medias before it gets released x)

2 RepliesPeople hated the timers on those missions.
-
What if there were other secret missions…missions so secret we never found them….
-
Yes! Those are always a good challenge and have great rewards!
-
Yeah I agree

BungLe- "More insanely overpriced crap? We gotchu."
-
No, I liked the difficulty and chasing down a hard to get exotic but the timers killed ANY replayability for me.

Mission was good at start. Then they ruined it making it from weekend mission for whole week mission. Then any event activated that mission. In the end, they just added it on map of Io and all mystery and spontaneous discovery of that mission exist at all been destroyed. Sad truth, those missions only good for 3-4 runs successful runs. Then they just useless.

If I've learnt one thing, it's that the vast majority of the D2 community (who have been playing since D1/vanilla D2) are atrocious at jumping puzzles, watching people finish the space walk in DSC is the most frustrating thing I've ever witnessed -
No thanks. Timers on anything in Destiny are pointless. One shot deaths, odd jumping puzzles that could now be trivialized by stasis anyway. Even the Dead Messager mission shouldn't be timed. It's a bit more forgiving than others but still forces players into one specific playstyle and doesn't let people learn thru trial and error. We're pushing around 100 exotic weapons and armor, players shouldn't be forced to use 5 of them just to get one more.
-
Definitely. Next one needs to be a secret one for Necrochasm.
-
It's been a few years, but if I recall, people complained about these missions because only a portion of the community was proficient at jumping puzzles, and then having to do it multiple times for the catalyst in a timed run made it even harder. While I don't disagree, too many of these entitled casuals and freeloading f2pers would be filling up the forums with crying posts about how instead of learning how to play and doing jumping puzzles, they should be given everything for free without putting in an ounce of effort
-
They won't do it due to the massive complaints people gave because "I DoN't KnOw WhAt I aM pAyInG fOr" People actually complained about missions like these and as such, they won't do them anymore. A shame

4 RepliesThey are still in the game. Vox Obscure, harbinger, and Presage to name 3 of them.

I remember waiting until Friday for this mission to drop. It was hard but fun. I looked forward to it every week.
