As we round out week 4, Arc just hasn't clicked for me (Titan main). I have a solid build where I can infinitely spam Thunderclap and sustain off all the melees, but Arc doesn't hold near the potency that Void 3.0 or Solar 3.0 did, and I'm convinced it's because they tried WAAAYYY too hard with the fragments.
Ionic Traces are cool on paper, as is being Amplified, but the reality is what those achieve in PVE is fairly negligible in end game content and difficult to sustain throughout a Nightfall/Raid/Dungeon. Void and Solar provide more consistency with infinitely less effort, in addition to holding more neutral game builds and interactions.
The fact that the PVE gun meta didn't shift in the slightest only further complicates just how underwhelming Arc is.
"Run fast and punch everything" is getting neutered by a weapon meta that favors slow poking everything out from half a mile away.
And don't even get me started on the Champion mods this season, which further reinforced this droll weapon meta ideology......
