Does that mean if someone died at this time (2022) and all the event of the Destiny timeline happened
Could a Ghost hypothetically revive them?

5 RepliesCrow was revived a monthish after Uldren died. New lore mentions a guardian waking up speaking Sumerian. I'd say there isn't a limit.

The Traveler canonically arrived in Sol circa 2014-2015 so yes. There was a human who died during the Renaissance and after rezzing found integration into society difficult because nobody in the City spoke his language. -
Yes. The criteria for being chosen by a Ghost is: being dead, and able to wield the Light as a weapon. One Hunter cloak in D1 had as its lore slogan: We are an Army of the chosen dead. Another gear piece: Heaven can wait. There is still too much work to do here in Hell.

Edited by Architect Mind: 9/18/2022 4:52:38 PMHere's the thing, what was the golden age and how long did it last, how long did the dark age last? This much we could say, the traveler was discovered around our time. Soon we should have an AI that could do what R had done. If you ever get the chance, and can stomach a lot of bad cinema, watch 2036: Origin Unknown...but that film is just the beginning. The person that made it, did several films that could all tie into each other. One that explores putting humans into machines to explore an anomaly, one called IRIS which I'm going to have to watch again because I forgot what it deals with. The overall, it's a simulation that on the surface we are meant to think is horrible, but in the end we find it beautiful...everlasting. Dust, these peeps, but I haven't gone looking for all the shorts that deal with some of Destiny's concepts

1 ReplyGhosts seem to be able to revive anyone from any time frame, so long as there is enough left to revive. So they could revive an ice mummy from the the bronze age or a random citizen from that last city who died during the red legion invasion.

Also even though the timelines don’t match you can find The Master Chief’s resting spot. When you your Ghost scans the location you get some dialogue about how John simply decides to not come back when his Ghost went to revive him as a Guardian. He said he fought an endless war and had seen enough. -

I mean Osiris is literally Osiris from ancient Egyptian mythology. That’s him. Not some guy named Osiris. The real Osiris from our history brought back by his Ghost. The Ghosts can bring back anyone provided they have something to work with. -

Edited by MC 077 Lasombra: 9/15/2022 9:50:09 PMAll they need is enough remains to scan the Spark. So technically, even old mummies and early human remains could be scanned. The Golden Age was just a few centuries. They just need to have a strong Spark and be worthy.
