I've noticed a massive uptick in the number of people team killing during jumping puzzles and actual encounters using swords lately. Idk if this is just bad luck on my end or what.
Earlier tonight I was running KF and had a guy just repeatedly launch me into walls or into the void. I'd revive and he'd do it again and again until he finally ran out of sword ammo. There needs to be some sort of way to counter this beyond being the fireteam leader.
What's even the draw of doing this? I completely understand doing it when you're just waiting for someone to use the bathroom, doing it to your friend as a joke, or even doing it a single time as part of good natured banter. What I don't understand is wasting 5+ minutes of everyone else's time while you exploit a physics bug and negatively impact everyone else's experience. I'm sure it'd likely cause more issues and could be exploited, but if blocking a player removed collision with their player model that'd be an elegant solution.
Anyone else have any thoughts on how to discourage this behavior or counter it? I sincerely doubt reporting them is going to result in anything happening.

No. It's the rise of the toxic behaviour which Bungie are aware of, but simply don't care at all. At this point they may as well endorse it publicly.
