Div doesn't need a nerf, what we need is incentive to use other debuffs that won't stack with it.

I won't go into how it's only ever really used against raid bosses or high level NF, but I will say it wouldn't be as- not exactly necessary, but favorable to use if we had incentive to use other debuffs. When fighting bosses like Warpriest, the trouble isn't so much hitting the crit box, but the constant flinch from his attacks, then we have bosses like Atheon who I swear have crit boxes smaller than the model (or controller AA/ bullet magnetism is causing me to miss those crits) and the screen shake from the constant explosions that don't even damage you throwing off your aim as well. Taking away the weaken and disabling it from proccing when Div is active will in most cases (I think there was also a crit multiplier thing in those posts that started this), just discourage using the weapon, then because it'll get so little use compared to now (one of the most used exotics in raids, little to none anywhere else), will either get buffed or reverted partially. Before Divinity, the debuffs players would apply would be Melting Point, Shadowshot, or Tractor Cannon. Divinity made SS pointless for dps, and it's often very risky to get that close to a boss as they would either OHK you or launch you into a wall and kill you that way. If Divinity really is an issue because of how easy it makes the game, then give players incentive to use other debuffs. - How strong would SS's debuff have to be before you'd considered using it over Div for boss dps? - If you didn't flinch half as hard, even less by attacks that don't damage you, would you still use Div when hitting those crits would be that much easier? The more time spent lining up shots and waiting for your gun to reset, the more dps you lose. - If some bosses didn't keep moving in and out of Tether range (and if the tracking wasn't so strong that SS had a habit of aiming at the boss and going past its legs instead of near its feet where you're aiming), would you use it? At least until it ends before using Div? There's little to nothing that can be done to Div without basically murdering it, but there's plenty to work with when it comes to debuffs: - Weaken. - Weakness to X weapon (like Ruinous Effigy's catalyst). - Weakness to element/ damage type (like Genesis or OG Tractor Cannon). You could add to that and add weapons/ abilities that build off of various debuffs: - Weakened enemies explode sooner from Volatile, enemies that explode have Weaken refreshed. - Frozen enemies will freeze faster for a few seconds after Shattering and Stasis weapons for that time will add Slow stacks to that enemy. - Ignited enemies will ignite faster for a few seconds, and Solar weapons will apply scorch stacks for that time. - Jolted enemies will chain damage out faster when Arc weapons hit them. There's plenty to work with that could compete or even outclass Div if they were buffed/ reworked right.

  • tether should get a big buff duration increased and debuff increase at least to 40% , and bungie should buff ALL raid boss crit dmg multiplayer so divinity is '''nerfed'' for good players
