Force?
Do you even realize that almost everything you said has happened to players whether it is SBMM or CBMM and Bungie has been flipping the switch since D1?
Players are always going to suffer no matter what it is. There isn't any PvP game that doesn't have the same issues and there never will be.
There will always be lag, maybe not every game but there will be.
There will always be players better than others
There will always be that forced maps
There will always be that "forced" meta that I can't even believe you tried to use that knowing players will always go to their go-to or the next go-to when nerfs take place. But, the BS because of you player worried about your KD you guys quitting does need to stop, and for you to say "I quite PvP" because you are not getting things your way, really?
I suck at PvP compared to players like yourself, but not one time have I ever cried about PvP since D1 released about nerfs or whatever it was SBMM or CBMM. Nor have ever cried about how weapons are "OP" while playing PvP. I have had to deal with you PvP players crying about PvP for 8 freaking years and the truth is, you PvP players are what's wrong with this game, and the streamers don't help this game one freaking bit with all their crying as well.
I have seen it since D1 hundreds and thousands of times that you PvP players say all the time that you have given PvE players a hard time about, but because you guys cry way too damn much literally about everything about PvP?
Learn to adapt because I don't give a flying hoot whether it's SBMM or CBMM. I'll still play when I feel like it.
TLDR. Bungie created this problem. They can't lobby balance and SBMM creates terrible lag. Bungie is punishing the player for the piss poor conditions THEY created and apparently aren't smart enough to fix. Other FPS games learned how to lobby balance decades ago.
Bungie created this problem.
This is true, but it's a lot more than just lobby balance on what I was referring to. Do you think their 2001 outdated P2P has anything to do with it?
-
It has a lot to do with it and that system only makes SBMM even worse, since connections aren't that great in the first place when compared to other FPS games.
-
Just curious, knowing it doesn't matter if it's SBMM or CBMM I've seen the same reply on how bad CBMM is. Even dedicated serves I have seen the same issues players have brought up. So if there was a solution, what would that be in your opinion? Just remember that it doesn't matter what is added to this game there will always be lag, lobby issues, etc... that players will have to deal with.

Edited by F1reDawg76: 9/14/2022 11:55:58 PMThe same thing other FPS have had for years now. Dedicated servers with much better tick rates. Destiny is one of the worst running FPS games in existence when it comes to network performance.
Destiny is one of the worst running FPS games in existence when it comes to network performance.
It's interesting that you say this, but when I play Halo MCC or other games my connection has issues, but playing Destiny it's not as bad as other games that have dedicated servers. Personally, I don't care for Destiny's PvP.

I saw no lag in SBMM…
-
Then you're in the small minority. Everyone is complaining about connection quality. It's as bad as it has ever been now.
Then you're in the small minority. Everyone is complaining about connection quality. It's as bad as it has ever been now.
Only the top and bottom players see lag. The vast middle don’t.

Well everyone sees trash lobby balancing and the same maps over and over.
Well everyone sees trash lobby balancing and the same maps over and over.
Overall, balancing was pretty good for me. Sure, there are games where one or two did really well or a couple players that performed below par, but mostly it’s all in a range of performance that defines SBMM. Stay in the matchmaking and you’ll be rotated through a list of maps. I did better on maps I was familiar with (it’d been a couple years since I’d played crucible) and not as good on the new maps.

Edited by F1reDawg76: 9/14/2022 4:29:57 PMI see the same handful of maps in a several hour gaming session with Disjunction and Cathedral coming up the most, with Eternity not being far behind. It's pretty clear Bungie has certain maps weighted more than others. It seems like some maps have been taken out of the game since they never come up, even though I know they're still in rotation.

Otherwise every week would seem exactly the same as the week before. I like Cathedral. I liked it in D1 too. Lots of ways to play it. It’s a big map that’s hard to spawn trap. I don’t do well on Eternity or the other map like it.
