I just hope they realize this is a decision that they can't really undo without there probably being a massive increase in quitting over what it used to be.
Not a big fan of SBMM and space magical thinking being the dominant approach to PvP but at the same time there could be days where 80%+ of the matches I played would have the overall quality dropped pretty significantly by people going and coming. And when its happening that much its not just "oh I need to answer the door."
Plus when people quit a lot the game has to put effort into coming up with reasons why people get joined in progress into those matches and it can basically become a self-licking ice cream cone in terms of overall match quality. The quitting on disjunction was so bad that you couldn't really say that it had anything to do with disjunction.
There is the question of why people quit so much in the first place but its hard to say that its because of the quality of the matches when quitting contributes so much to the lower quality. So I guess we'll see if matches get better with less quitting and they most likely will.
At the same time I can't say that at least some of the problems don't spring from giving people that have no idea what they are doing a top tier player experience at the expense of other peoples' match quality. Now we'll all be able to see better which was having the worse overall effect.
