I posted this as comment for another topic, but I figured I might as well make my own topic as well

Spectral Blades (and other roaming supers) need their designated roles to be beyond simple ad clear. A simple damage buff won’t be enough.
Let’s take Spectral Blades for example:
Even with a damage buff Spectral blades will never be a good ad clear super because it just runs out too quickly. Not to mention that it’ll always be worse than Arcstrider in that regard.
The super clearly has a stealthy assassin theme to it so Bungie should play into that role. Instead of clearing ads, Spectral should be about using your invisibility to get close to high priority targets (such as champions) and instantly take them down, then using your invisibility to get out of there safely. Then have ad clear as a secondary duty.
Make it so that light attacks when coming out of stealth apply a debuff to the target, and heavy attacks that quickly follow up the light attack do significantly more damage to that target (I’m talking SIGNIFICANTLY more damage).
Those changes would make Spectral a lot better in PvE without it being Arcstrider’s weaker cousin

To remind you of the consequences, remember how titan Martin accuse the majority of hunter’s for requesting nerfs on Titan abilities and gear, well… yeah the same is true for hunters, this is just going to just cause another childish rant from the titan main community, and we all know who’s the favorite, so let’s not make regrettable decisions again. Just be happy PvE spectral blade has some use, because any buffs will mean a huge nerf, and so far hunter’s have been slowly regaining original Destiny strength. Hunters and titans are always on the critical hit list, warlocks you’re the middle child and I feel bad things usually end up with you all being ignored.
