Bottom line why am I going to continue to play if I’m not having fun? I don’t care if I have to take a 30 min break I will gladly take it if it means I don’t have to sit through I game where I am not having fun. To all the people that treat this game like it’s a sweating competition I don’t care about my KD. I really only play this game because I find it fun. If something is ruining that enjoyment ie. the multitude of issue destiny could address before doing this I will stop and return to orbit as fast as I can.

Control quitter penalty: I’m still going to leave the game if I’m not having fun
You should. Many in this community have lost sight of what this is: a fucking video game. Meant to be an enjoyable time waster. If it's not enjoyable, you should be doing something else.

Quitter penalties in a PvP mode that can never be properly balanced is totally reasonable.
...is what I would say if it were OPPOSITE DAY!!!
-
I asked you a while back define fun ? For you ? I’m in control to improve and yeah sometimes you get stomped ….if I’m up against better players then I’m learning . The lag I understand and being booted you can’t do anything about. Control the last couple of days has been kill farmers using WH, Vex , LW, Jotunn and GL…..not capping well a few I guess . There are even people who leave the hen there are winning ?! Could of been booted ….or upset enough to quit 🤷🏼♂️

Quitter penalty won't fix anything at all, it will definitely hurt, and they'll start to see the player pool drop. After a while you realize the weekly challenges don't matter, and then the +1 pinnacle doesn't even matter when there are so many +2 available. I'll probably do crucible this week and that really is it. I'll farm mayhem for rank if I want to do challenges. As someone who is relatively terrible in pvp, only benefitting with a 1.6 kda or so because of SBMM, I fit in with these rage induced scrubs, but there are more gigantic issues at play than quitter penalties.

2 RepliesI honestly thought the Quickplay penalty was a bug. Why would I care if anyone left my team in Control? It's freaking Quickplay, not Trials.
-
Penalty in control is remarkably stupid decision.FIX the connection issues/ghost bullets etc.,etc. And when you have done it , add whatever You want.

13 RepliesUnder CBMM: Low skill players - This isn't fun for me so i will just do three matches a week if at all. SBMM would be nice so i can stand a chance and have room to actually learn and improve. High skill players - This is fun and casual for me, i can win with non meta loadouts and not even trying that hard if at all (i will still use meta loadouts tho). SBMM will ruin this easy mode for me and lower skill players need to get good or get out. Under SBMM: Low skill players - This is much more enjoyable, I will probably do more than 3 matches a week and actually try to improve. High skill players - If I'm not having fun in a match (winning easily) then i'm gonna leave and ruin other people's experience.

Laggy game and long wait times! But hey you better not leave!!!!
-
You're free to do whatever the -blam!- you want. Go for it. But now you can't do it 8 times per hour anymore. Sucks, amirite? And I know for a FACT certain people did leave matches 5-10 times per hour. Bring the salt, I've ran out

1 ReplyIf you're gone suck could you at least grab a f*cking zone!!!
If something is ruining that enjoyment ie. the multitude of issue destiny could address before doing this I will stop and return to orbit as fast as I can.
That's all well and good, except you currently have a choice in 6v6 games - either SB or CB. You cannot knowingly choose to enter an SB 6v6 game, then quit because of how the matchmaking works. You're hurting others when you do that intentionally. This is precisely why quitter penalties are a thing. Even Bungie knows it's wrong.

If I'm even in PVP it's for a pinnace, quest, or gun. If I'm not making progress towards that I'm leaving.
-
2 RepliesBye Felicia. (always wanted to say that).

Agreed. I play to have fun. If we’re up against a 6 stack. That’s not fun. So I’m leaving. Period. AND spare me the “but you’re leaving us a guardian short” cry. If I leave a game it’s because I was getting stomped and not helping out the team anyway.
-
If you can deal with the penalty, by all means, go ahead. I leave matches in For Honor all the time. Sure, they’re 1v1 matches so leaving only makes it easier for everyone involved, but if you’re fine with the penalty, go for it.
-
Agree. If its a sweet fest, teleportors running around, real life calls, I’m still going to leave.
-
3 RepliesThis is a question I’ve been asking: Are people getting kicked due to connections or leaving because PvP is in such a -blam!- state in S18?
-
Same, not vsing 6 stack stat seekers.

Edited by BOSSNONO254: 9/15/2022 3:02:52 PMShoot, I’ll leave as many games as I want😂😂😂. After my 30 minutes are up, I’ll load another match to just leave that one too. Jk, but the penalties are quite awful from what I’ve seen and heard. Not to mention it truly seems like Bungie hasn’t worked on it at all, and just copy and pasted the comp penalty screen/method.

4 RepliesSo why queue up at all?
-
Good for you. Enjoy that timeout, which is NOT a ban like everyone keeps calling it.
-
1 ReplyI hope every time you’re having “fun” all your teammates that aren’t having “fun” leave and ruin your “fun”.
-
1 Replyso you think leaving doesn't ruin other people's fun huh. I'll enjoy people like you to be not in my queue for 30 minutes
-
7 RepliesAnd you deserve to have a penalty for it. Period. You don't get to screw over your team just because you randomly stopped having fun.
