For the past 8 years of Destiny, why hasn't the darkness try to hunt us instead of the other way around, even with the Witness coming into the Sol System. Why not bring the world alive and put our guardians to the test against the darkness's strongest foes, introducing "Bounty Hunters".
This system would add another tab in the game and show all the enemy races with meters. When killing enemies of that faction the meter will go up, the higher the meter the more likely the hunter will come after you. Now Bounty Hunters will go after you, but not End-game activities (Like Raids and Nightfalls), but while in patrol and in regular strikes the hunter can spawn. When they do spawn the area will turn gray like when a public event spawns.
Know when they do spawn what happens? Well the Hunter will have their own enemies around them and have pyramid Technology that challenges the player. After the boss looses a bar of health, they will go immune and have a small pyramid bubble like in Rhulk. Going in will damage the player, but you can do extra damage to the boss, then repeat. Also if the Hunter kills the guardian it's hunting they will leave the area and the meter on the screen will be lowered so be carful out there, but the most important thing about it is the loot.
When you do take down the Hunter, the meter will reset and has a guarantee drop on its Bounty specific weapon. There are different weapons for each of the factions. For Example ( The taken specific weapon could be the "Stolen Will" from D1, and the Fallen weapon could be the "The Six Dreg Pride"). Now there would be new weapons either every season or every other season to keep the Bounty Hunters special. This game needs something special and also different, this could give it that feel of realism.
