widened SBMM with leaver penalties are actually the worst combo possible
At this point, I feel like this is the worst possible combination. I was so hyped before the season for SBMM to come back, and it was amazingly balanced at the start. With loosening the parameters (which happened about a week ago when they widened the skill ranges allowed in a match) it started falling back more and more into the old ways, and now with leaver penalties I can't even leave if it's a bad game.
I was away on holiday week 1 and 2, but I wanted to play a lot of control this season (I only play control), so clocked in 170+ games in the last 2 weeks, but with these 2 changes combined I feel like we got the worst combination possible.
It's not even just the maps, even though I hate some of them and just don't want to play them (and yes, when I see disfunction loading in I usually quit), but it's not even just that. I don't mind playing even the maps I don't like once in a while, but when you get the same map (regardless of what it is) multiple times in a row it's just boring.
If you want leaver penalties, fine, but then restore the original SBMM parameters for balanced games, or let us leave if the game is rubbish. Now you are locked in to bad games on bad maps over and over again. It's almost like worse than having no "gutted" SBMM with free leaving in the first place...
