I have no idea what the PvP team thinks it's doing with Control re: quitter penalties

You all - force us into SBMM so anyone over a 1.3 k/d is forced into lobbies that are unforgiving, laggy, unfun, and full of hostile players who are also unhappy they're forced into ultra meta world championships - force us into the most unpopular, large, boring maps that don't encourage engagement and instead take more time to traverse from spawn, to the hot zones, only to die from someone far outside of your range who was posted up waiting for you - force us into staying in these unfun matches on unfun maps by banning us if we quit I'm not sure anyone working on PvP right now understands the fundamental pain points we are having, my benefit of the doubt is gone Bungie i'm sorry i have a 1.8 k/d and i'm apparently the problem in pvp for everybody but congrats, problem solved: i quit pvp, this sucks. i hope that was the solution y'all wanted! can't suspend me if i don't play.

    "are unforgiving, laggy, unfun, and full of hostile players who are also unhappy they're forced into ultra meta world championships" It's matchmaking loosely like for like, so the reality is YOU'RE an unforgiving, unfun, hostile, meta world championship player and now you face the same. Don't like it but we're presumably more than happy to dish that out for 3 years. The 600+ CR disparities farming cheese - and that's all it was - has closed. Too bad. Lag I have more sympathy for. But there's other modes and plenty of them, especially if you're Combat Rating (not necessarily KD) is high enough to increase that. It's been laggy in each and every mode however, even if it's worse for top fraggers. Ultimately you need more high skill players and you'll never get that if there are scant modes which aren't built around stomping the life out of beginners and those who shouldn't ever be paired. And that's relative so outlier protection CBMM is beyond naive for a solution. Elimination 3v3 alone was never the right job for that. It was a good decision or rather a much belated correction of a terrible one.
