Trust, I’m a casual 1.3kd player, yes I have 311 flawless cards and yes I do play average 1.7 but honestly this matchmaking is so dogshit.
Before you sit there and judge, I’m in the UK, when you are playing people from Asian servers on a UK host because of skill based matchmaking that’s not fun for anyone. As I said I’m a casual pvp player and yet every lobby is filled with 2kds and top 500s.
Everyone knows control is supposed to be a relaxed game mode where you can go and have fun. Control is effectively ruined because you are forced to play terrible maps with extremely laggy and sweaty opponents every game when all you want to do is have fun.
Just because you have a high skill level doesn’t mean you have to suffer cause I’m suffering with you, neither does the lesser skilled players. However if you genuinely dislike the pvp and you are not good at pvp simply put in the effort and work to get better. I went from playing a average .8 to a 1.7 every trials week and I’m a full time student.
Stop complaining about the skill gap and just put in the effort to get better.

Like I'm seriously trying, and there's no way to make this point of view have a logical foundation. If having to face "sweaty" people like you is ruining the game for you, how in the WORLD can you tell others to stop complaining and put in effort to get better? There's no way to make that make sense without it just being flat out massively hypocritical!

So get your own medicine and get better, stop complaining.

I’m stating facts, in order to have SBMM they need to have a full ranking based system and rewards which go with it. They haven’t added anything. Consistently playing bad maps is forcing people to leave which then makes the ban activate which makes people not want to go into pvp at all. It’s not fun for any player of any skill level to keep getting rubbish maps. Remove SBMM and remove the penalty for leaving and control will be back to its healthy population. People leave matches cause no one enjoys it
-
Bad connection is problem on player side. Loose SBMM is great! I finally can play normally in control (since its main game mode). Bungie should make SBMM a thing for every crucible game mode!
-
Nah, need to meet half way. I'd settle for the original SBMM (not the widened one they put in a week ago) only in control. So at least both camps have playlists they can go into. Want to compete? go into trials, I promise I won't. Want to just have a balanced game where you have a chance in any given gunfight? go to control (basically 100% of my time). I think it's more than fair. This is what the elite guys have been saying forever, that trials is for them, not for casuals, so then let control be for the casuals. Can't see any problem with it, everyone has somewhere where they can enjoy the game.

No you should just get better, if I’m in the Uk and I’m playing people on Asian how is that my fault. Ur logic doesn’t make sense. You can play decent because you are bad and I can more then likely say you have told good players to get good but don’t listen to ur own words
-
I couldn’t agree with you more but this amazing post will fall on deaf ears. Seems there are infinitely more bad players than good. Bad players tell good players to get good but can’t see the irony in their words.
-
Jet the guy telling me to get better internet is a .73 and plays average a .8 I’m a 1.3 and plays a 1.7 I’m over double his KD and it’s crazy how players think they are better than what they are.
-
Yeah yeah, another one who was laggy around map and with fake k/d ratio. Change your internet provider and get good.
-
You are also saying get good, how ironic. You are a .73 overall KD and you are telling someone who is better than you to get good. Listen to ur own words bud and put in the time and effort to get better as I did
-
hHAHHAHA DeusMuerte has 0.73 kd HAHAHAHA What a loser :D
-
If I’m in the Uk and I’m playing people from Asia no matter what bloody router or internet I have that’s half way across the world. The games going to lag no matter what you do

Edited by JetEyeKnight: 9/13/2022 9:55:40 PMYeah yeah yeah, another brain dead bot who thinks we’re making it up. I have the best internet available in my area. I typically get 800Mbps down, 15Mbps up. Destiny requires 1Mbps up/ 1Mbps down. I have no packet loss and ping within the USA is under 50ms. This is FAR greater bandwidth than necessary to have quality matches. Unfortunately at my bracket I’m playing people in Australia, China, Korea, Japan, South America, Russia, etc. That’s a ping issue caused by matchmaking. Nothing I would ever do to my connection would improve the 500ms lag caused by playing people on the other side of the world.

I’ll post it fresh
