Eruption isn't a bad game mode but could use some tweaks I think.
So I like the idea it's there it's fun to go on a big streak when things get going but I feel like the mode ends up as pretty passive until someone actually gets to a five streak. then it kind of turns into a good match since people are moving around. I usually would find big groups just sitting at spawn points or moving as a big ball, which is a tactic but the main problem in a lot of cases you have all this map that just isn't being used and the play ends up as pretty passive and boring for i'd say at least half the match. I think a couple changes would be good to help encourage players to push out and get into more gunfights in general instead of two groups slowly moving around.
1. All stacks should have timers. Not to DEATH like when you're at 5 but each stack previously would have a 30 second timer before you need to get a kill or you go down one stack. Or if 30 is too short maybe something like this.
1 stack: 60 seconds
2 stacks: 50
3 stacks: 40
4 stacks: 30
5 stacks: 15
2. We need something on the map to push people into it more than just the Heavy Brick spawn. Personally I think daresay a POINT could be randomly placed every 40 seconds that if capped would then give the entire team +1 stack of surging. This is just an initial idea and it would keep pushing people to surging and in turn push players to try to hit 5
This is just the original idea I thought of it doesn't have to be this it could be something as simple as more frequent heavy brick spawns and in multiples or those DARES power ups just popped onto the map here and there. Something like that where if you don't take the time to try to go for whatever is on the map you will have a disadvantage even if small.
I can't think of much else right now but it, like rift is a good mode and with some tweaking could be pretty great.
