You all
- force us into SBMM so anyone over a 1.3 k/d is forced into lobbies that are unforgiving, laggy, unfun, and full of hostile players who are also unhappy they're forced into ultra meta world championships
- force us into the most unpopular, large, boring maps that don't encourage engagement and instead take more time to traverse from spawn, to the hot zones, only to die from someone far outside of your range who was posted up waiting for you
- force us into staying in these unfun matches on unfun maps by banning us if we quit
I'm not sure anyone working on PvP right now understands the fundamental pain points we are having, my benefit of the doubt is gone
Bungie i'm sorry i have a 1.8 k/d and i'm apparently the problem in pvp for everybody but congrats, problem solved: i quit pvp, this sucks. i hope that was the solution y'all wanted! can't suspend me if i don't play.

Edited by Chunk: 9/13/2022 9:23:01 PMKinda funny... Everyone that quit because of their poor performance matches did it to themselves... Buuut now I have to play cathedral of dusk and disjunction OMG.. Bungie map voting is now mandatory
-
4 RepliesI started tanking my stats, I’m gonna have fun one way or another lol. I just want to have a casual experience in pvp and complete bounties easily without the hassle of being in a 6v6 tournament. I honestly could care any less about stats in this game.
-
Yeah ist absurd how disconnected bungie is with pvp. Bungie is in a good way to kill pvp playlist. Now as a single player you are basecaly f***ed. 6 stacks? Beautiful maps like disjunction, cathedral of dusk and of course the horrific map weighting Disjunction, cathedral of dusk, vostok, eternity. Did i mention disjunction? Man.. its fustrating for real. Its getting worse and worse every season with pvp. Like somesone said " Ib leaves with eruption (best pvp mode ever imo) & we snap back to reality.
-
2 RepliesAt minimum have map voting. Certain maps just play terrible in 6v6.
-
forcing people to play stacks, forcing ppl into ongoing matches that are unwinnable just to get run 30 seconds after by supers, etc. this has not been thought out. just a shot from the hip. punishing everyone for a few bad apples. they should have run the data, and given everyone who quits frequently a two week suspension as a warning.
-
Edited by Eatz: 9/13/2022 10:39:47 PMYou know it’s funny, the quickplaylist has received more attention then comp has in 3 years🤣🤣🤣
-
This will get reversed, if it doesn't then it means destiny 2 is the most competitive noncompetitive game out there lmao. They need to pick a side already.
-
I feel you here. It feels like the team is so disconnected from what a fun pvp game is. I’ve logged thousands of hours in crucible and I’ve felt the decline for a long time. It was slow and gradual and I think for a lot of us the penalty for backing out of control matches is the straw that breaks the camels back. The glaring issue is that there is no real incentive to play pvp. 1 pinnacle, a handful of powerful rewards from comp, and trials rewards are literally the only reasons to play. That is just not it. Other “free to play” games do it 1000 times better but none of them have the guns/gameplay/and movement that destiny has. It’s sad because destiny pvp could be great! It has the structure already there. It just needs a bit of tweaking to make it amazing. I think that’s why dedicated players like myself are so frustrated. It’s not that we cant farm people with negative kds in control anymore or back out of games. It’s that there’s no reason to grind crucible.
-
Just play comp, it’s legitimately the better game mode right now
-
Bungie ignored us for years. And by us I mean the players that kept playing PvP, the guys who are PvP mains. They gave us nothing. But they did listen to somebody. The pinnacle hero’s. The players who blame the game for their short comings. The cry baby army. -blam!- this company.

2 RepliesEdited by Ehhhric13: 9/13/2022 11:48:01 PMClash is better choice of PVP this week and Freelance Control is a better option than rage quit penalties they voted for and enabled
-
1 ReplyI agree on this one. Getting a "Competitive crucible suspension" for quitting a non-competitive game mode is absurd. I wouldn't be quitting if it would actually match me with people at or near my efficiency level instead of throwing people way above my efficiency at me. SBMM my -blam!-.
-
Did bungie add a quitter penalty? I always leave when I get thrown into twilight crap. Maybe I need to keep track of how many times I quit that garbage map.
-
1 ReplyDestiny has been odd recently, they introduce quit penalties to control but yet no incentive to play comp or control. If people are rage quitting left than ever before, why aren’t they trying to figure out a real solution instead of adding a penalty to control which isn’t supposed to be competitive at all.

Gambits better.

its absolutely absurd i got banned cuz my computer d/c from my WIFI randomly and i cant fix it so i get banned. its usually only for about a minute or two and comp play will let me reconnect, it doesnt let me reconnect and just bans me instead. Like wtf. Why would they think this is a good idea i swear bungie does not care at all about the players im literally about to quit the game.
-
Exactly I think that was their plan cause if it wasn't then their stupider than I thought they were
-
2 RepliesBad connection is your problem, because of bad internet on your side. All Destiny 2 maps bad, even those which returned from D1 (because Bungie make their "improvements" in those maps and make them trash), maps bad because of wrong balance of weapons distance. If your can't compete against people of your skill level - your k/d ratio if fake. Minus one newbie stomper.
-
I guarantee a few players were the ones doing the quitting. Hopefully, banning those players from playing will help everyone have a better time. No more joining into games late or having to 3v6 because your team left.

"force" My guy, you got Bungie execs in your house with guns to your head? Put the game down.

I have 1.5 lobbies are fine …. Ur pretty high up there so must be different fr ya
