so it's no secret to anyone that warlock solar 3.0 ended up pretty bad, imo the weakest of all the subclass reworks. like yea, they have a cool melee and grenades, but that's it. their aerial combat focus is incredibly weak and gimmicky, and if it wasn't for well I'd bet they'd see no play at all. their aspects need almost a complete overhaul to be worth using. so, here's my proposal for how that'd pan out
Dawnblade:
make the projectiles apply scorch by default. simple change, but this super probably won't see use regardless due to just how good well is.
Aspect 1 - Icarus dash + heat rises
these two aspects being combined just makes too much sense. when used alone, neither is really very useful. when used together, you end up with a gimmicky build that isn't really very useful. if they were combined into one I could see them being valued. idk if it does this already, but heat rising should max out airborne effectiveness too. I would also change Icarus dash's 'while airbourne, rapidly defeating targets with your weapons or super grants cute to yourself' to apply to grenades too and also create a projectile that would seek an ally and apply cure X2 to them on contact.
aspect 2 - Touch of flame:
this aspect is already great. not much needs to change imo. all I would do is make it allow you to charge any grenade to turn it into a restoration X2 healing grenade. if touch of flame is slotted alongside heat rises, charging your grenade gives you a x2 healing grenade AND activates heat rising.
aspect 3 - team healing synergy aspect:
this aspect imo could really take the solar warlock fantasy of blowing -blam!- up while protecting your team to the next level. since it's a new aspect, I'll write my proposed text out in full
'Apply cure or restoration to an ally to make yourself radiant and improve grenade regeneration and damage resistance for a short duration. these values are increased if you were gliding when your ally received the buff. Healing grenades spawn three projectiles - one that seeks you, and two that seek allies
so, I could see this aspect pushing the airbourne playstyle bungie seems to want solar warlocks to have while also vastly improving their support capabilities. in terms of numbers, I could see the grenade recharge and damage resist sitting at 150% and 15% for 8 seconds, rising to 250% and 25% for 8 seconds when airborne. these numbers would hopefully help players with actually staying alive in midair and also make it feel like using your grenade supportively isn't a total waste.
There is a lot of synergy in this rework. taking aspect 1+2 gives you pretty much the warlock we have now, just slightly better. aspects 1+3 are the true aerial focused warlocks, they can take either healing grenade for better supportive capabilities or a damaging grenade for a lot of grenade spam. aspects 2+3 would have the strongest support capabilities due to enhanced healing and would also have the flexibility to decide between damage Vs healing grenades on the fly. it could, with clever play, also potentially use the bonus grenade recharge from aspect 3 to increase the rate at which it could throw enhanced fusion grenades.
anyway feel free to send me hate mail for this! thank you for reading! pls notice, bungie!

I dig it. I especially like that we get rewarded for healing by becoming radiant. Would see some sick synergies with lumina and boots of the assembler
