Since season 18 PvP got alot of changes. Flinch, In Air accuracy, Latency, aim assist, rubberbanding/teleports.
All in all, Crucible is just over all a mayhem playist. People teleport/rubberband all over the place, a clear shot with mouse and keyboard doesnt register.
Since season 18, there is in every lobby a god teleporting all over the place, so i started thinking about how to counter it?
The awnser is: Controller.
Just go into a private match with a friend - and try the difference between Mouse and Controller. Take your eyes on the hitreg.
If i play on mouse and keyboard, i cant beat my friend with controller, we both play last word. The hitreg, is just a different level. If i play with controller, he doesnt have a change. The shots are INSTANT on the display, if i do the same with m/k - i just die and the damage numbers pop after im dead. With controller, no issues.
Same with SMG´s and pulses. Why is there a huge delay on M/K and not on controller?
1.) Is it because the controller has that much more bullet magnetism/aim assist so the bullets went all straight into the head?
2.) is it because mouse/keyboard causes a delay because of false polling rate? (too high??)
What causes the huge delay between this 2 inputs? Why is there a huge disadvantage between those ?
My Setup is OP, i dont know where to start to find the issue - if its even a false on my side i have no idea..
Can we adress this?
How to balance controller/M/k?
Since a controller player can take a view steps back and chill way more, m/K has to sweat way more as a controller. Since this game is p2p controller gets a huge buff by their aim assist/bullet magnetism i cant counter this on M/k.
Why? Because the games latency settings are unreal. A person who strafe is NEVER there where you see him actually - just play with a friend in privates and post each other the gameplay.
So if someone is rubberbanding hard - you will miss some bullets with M/K because you CANT shoot something what actually is not there, ore when you aim to the head fast and in the next moment the person just rubbers 1m away - controller will still HIT because of aim assist and bullet magnetism, it helps alot when the game is that high latency focused.
Balance your stuff please. More balance = less cheater.

2 RepliesHere’s the list of differences between the inputs.
Controller has Reticle Friction (referred to as “Magnetism”) that refers to the reticle slowing down near a target and it then “sticking to” a target as they move around Auto-Aim is available on both input devices (this is what we refer to as the AA cone) and what it does is redirect the accuracy cone (when aimed directly at the target, it does literally nothing) MNK has 20% better accuracy, stability (affects recoil and AA decay but not flinch resist [Confusion 100]), and 10-20% more Auto-Aim depending on the weapon type - these are all scalars
If you’re suffering from significant latency on either, it’s likely the device you’re using.
