I would play The Last Word a LOT more in this game if ADS would deactivate Rapid Fire and increase Range, similar how Delicate Tomb works.
I know a lot of the Last Word lovers will hate me for saying this controversial thing... But I don't like hipfire. It was the feature I hated most in Halo games and I still don't like it in Destiny 1 and 2.
How unfortunate that Last Word is a hipfire gun, right? Well, not really. Back in Destiny 1 the ADS recoil was a lot more control-able with a controller than in Destiny 2. I assume it is the difference in Stability points compared between both game versions.
However, back to topic. I am sure almost every Last Word player is using the gun with hipfire only, since the gun is literally designed for that in Destiny 2. BUT... If the gun would allow to use a single shot firemode while ADS with more range, the gun would become for all the ADS lovers (or hipfire haters like me) much more interesting to use.
Such a change wouldn't take away others fun from playing the gun and actually would allow for much more diversity in the playstyle with that gun. You could go up close and rapid-fire spam enemies down with hipfire OR stay a bit further away with ADS and trigger the 225RPM rounds manually with more range (showing you are a real sharpshooter).
