The new melee thunderclap is really fun and new kind of melee (it suits titan characteristics too) but the melee energy restoration is not enough from the new point-contact cannon brace which I find these gauntlets are useless as it is an exotic armor, which normally using an exotic alone means some kind of a high benefit compare to normal armor/ mod/ perk/ aspect

2 RepliesAnother poor Titan exotic. Does look nice next to my second chance gauntlets in the vault…which are equally as bad Heart of inmost light it is then

11 RepliesConsidering how much the exotic does, I think the melee restoration is fair. If you want max melee energy just use skullfort.

They were extremely powerful when they first launched. Their damage scaled with melee damage bonuses giving you some crazy damage with minimal setup. The strikes also lowered how much you needed to charge to get a kill in PvP (down to about 50% charge). Bungie dropped the nerf hammer before they could get out of hand. I only had around 4 hours with them and they were extremely entertaining. Bungie needs to fix them so we can have the lightning strikes back up to decent power. Have each strike deal melee damage (maybe add in Knockout specifically as a damage boost for them too) and make the energy returned actually decent instead of the tiny amount we get now.
