Why on earth the longest to use super lose in damage to insta supers like bladebarage or thundercrash, it becomes more ridiculous then thunder/BB was already used and people continue to damage with guns but warlock still casting same CR.

Make the base duration of the super 8 seconds (basically geomags) and buff the dmg to meet or exceed middle tree arc titan with out the exotic. This gives people a super that does good dmg and can be used to clear groups of yellow and orange bars with ease. With geomags just make it a celestial nighthawk in some sense. It turns chaos reach into a quick one shot super like a rail gun, only it also buffs the damage to be one of if not the best dps super (or just match the highest dps super). This would give arc warlock a reason to be used in endgame. If you want add topping off perk back to it as a bonus but the rework should be enough.

And before someone hits me with the “warlocks are support class get over it “ I say ,Warlocks are the support class but why would Bungie even waste their time making dmg supers if a class was purely support and not dmg? Like I know it is Bungie but why waste time in the first place?

Tcrash loses to Blade barrage by an insane amount as well so not a great comparison.

They need to either add Jolt to it, or let it ramp up damage like Coldheart. In its present state, it's just too weak without the Exotic. Ager's Scepter with the Catalyst make for a better Super than Chaos Reach.

Yes it does. It used to be so good, that it deserved the hype that one dev was giving it it when talking about it. Then it got nerfed into the ground, and without geomags (which were also nerfed), it's pretty useless.

5 RepliesI feel like you’re new to warlock. So here’s what you need to know about PvP as a warlock just accept you can’t have nice things and anything fun or close to competitive will be nerfed nearly to the point of being unusable. Hunters are the main opponents faced in crucible followed by titans which is why they get to be overpowered and have the most fun. Took over a year to actually nerf shatter dive in crucible when stasis launched and took months before behemoth titans weren’t unkillable. But only two weeks to disable stasis warlock. In all seriousness I strongly recommend you use a different class for pvp unless you’re just cracked with blink or crazy movement. You will not win a 1v1 super with anything else unless you’re lucky enough your nova bomb registers.

Guess what my Thundercrash DPS was? Zero point zero. Be glad you at least have a ranged super for Arc 3.0.....just food for thought.

1 ReplyIncorrect, reach is the second highest (damaging) super in the game, BB being first. Imo BB needs a hard nerf, right now it has the potential to do over 1mil, just super, it shouldn't be that high, no hunter dps super should go past 500k but yet they all do, hunters have the top 5 highest dps, tether shouldn't even be in it but it's one of the highest, everything about void hunter is support/ad clear, everything about void titan is support/ad clear, everything about void lock is ad clear and dps, but yet, tether out dps NB by almost triple lol and debuffs. but yeah missile should be the highest period, Reach? Unless they rework it, it shouldn't be in the game, right now it has the potential of hitting 900k plus damage, but it's duration kills it, in order for it to keep up with a real one off plus heavy, during a phase, it would have to do 1.6mil plus minimum, thats just not realistic. But yeah missile should without a doubt be the highest, the risk is all there, hunter and locks have no risk, they can do theirs from the safety of a well.

At this point I am tried of seeing buff chaos reach to the point of bungie just buff it so they will find something new to complain about even though they don’t need the buff

I have a good fix for: Lightning surge- killing or jolting multiple opponents while surrounded grants overshield Electrostatic mind- increase minimal number of ionic traces to 2 for arc ability multikills. Ionic traces grant super energy.
