Something had to start that Big Bang. You cannot argue that.
And we should research it instead of jumping to conclusions.

Idiot...

Edited by Sordid Plebeian: 9/19/2013 12:48:54 AMHow am I an idiot for saying that? How am I stupid for wanting to research something instead of just saying that God did it?
-
Edited by Legend To None: 9/19/2013 12:55:51 AMBecause we can't find evidence if we spent our lives looking for it it'd be endless so I'm not sayin its just God and not calling you a real idiot just goofing

when has any study come up with evidence or no evidence.
-
Lack of evidence is not nonexistence of evidence.

What's wrong with drawing temporary conclusions about the unknown?
-
Because it's guessing. If we continuously guessed throughout the history of humanity, then we'd still think that the sun revolves around the earth and such.
-
Actually if not for guessing we also wouldn't know that the sun doesn't revolve around the Earth. It's actually 2 sided and works both ways.
-
Oh jeez, I posted that a while ago . . . Anyways, what past me meant was that it was guessed that the Sun revolved around the Earth and called it fact, where as astronomers hypothesized the opposite and proved it through study and research. They didn't say, "Well, I'm going to say the opposite just because," and ended up calling the right side of the coin, they used method.

What you say makes sense and is true, don't get me wrong. But for every idea changed there would usually be a guy who thought otherwise, put simply he or she guessed that was wrong. And of course like you said they went on and did research, but it was started by a guess. Of course this is not always the case and we just discover the truth by mistake, well I guess nothing thats a fact is really a mistake.

We discovered cookies by mistake.

Leave that up to the scientists. I'm no scientist. I'm a 16 year old. So if I can justify my world for the time being with an analogy I will do it, and I don't see why you refuse to do the same.
-
Same here (in terms of age). Anyways, I find it fun to think of what could potentially have triggered the Big Bang, but do not hold myself to the belief because in reality, finding the answer to this question is [currently] fictitious, so I cooperate with the fact that we simply do not know yet. Some may find comfort in a placeholder for the cause of something of this degree, but I find it misleading.

you dont understand, you rustled an athiest's theories, therefore he has to try to make it sound as if youre doing something wrong/bad.
-
Oh..Well does that mean I get an award then?

indeed
