Crashing before getting to the character screen
Not sure if this is a problem that originated when the season launch as i havent played in a while but when i try to launch the game it freezes right before getting to the character screen and then crashes (although i've managed to get to orbit a couple of times before crashing)
I've seemingly tried everything, Verified files twice, updated my drivers (i even did a clean reinstall of all of them just in case) , reinstalled the game 3 different times, I even uninstalled a few programs that *could* conflict with the game.. Nothing worked
When it crashes it doesnt display any kind of error it just closes the game as if i alt+f4'd it
I'm playing in a laptop (that i have used to play destiny before, i believe last time i played was the 30th anniversary) SPECS : Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU /Intel Core i5-11400H @2.70Ghz / 16gb RAM / 500gb SSD (30gb free of storage)

7 RepliesI'm having the same frustrating experience as you. Same path to TRY to solve it... -verfied multiple times -drivers checked (Nvidia) and updated (including the 516.79 "hotfix") -uninstalled and re-installed the entire game -playing other games (CS:GO) works perfect; and steam works fine I have no clue of how to even troubleshoot. I've tried observing the task manager (like a hawk) to see whether any processes spike in activity when the game starts, and inevitabily crashes out), but nothing. Any fresh suggestions would be really appreciated. I've already sent a desperate message to Battleye - but doubt it will yield a response. tks in advance!
