Why is this a thing for completing the Solstice armor? 25 completed matches for one event challenge, compared to considerably less strikes/Nightfalls for another challenge.
A good portion of the community does not like PvP in general and wants to stay as far away as they can. The current states of Crucible and Gambit at the moment is also among the worst they have ever been unfortunately, making the challenge no less unpleasant.
Forcing players into activities they don't like, especially not at these extreme amounts, is not gonna make them like the gamemodes - frankly, it's gonna turn them further away.
(To the PvPers about to jump me) - Yes, I understand that PvPers are forced into PvE as well, but doing 8-10 Nightfalls on Hero difficulties will tick off the Vanguard Ops challenge, and in considerably less time than 25 Crucible/Gambit completions.

Thank goodness Mayhem was around last week to get at least 1 character done. My other 2 characters are going to be giving this festival a miss 🙂

2 RepliesYou have 3 weeks to complete 25 matches. It’s not that serious.

2 RepliesI honestly don’t mind PVP but the fact there was no multiplier this time around made me not enjoy this solstice. The fact I liked the first D2 and not this one shows, and that was considerably more Grindy than this one but even still it didn’t require as many crucible games to finish things. 25 games go so slow regardless of the type of match especially when teams have a balanced skill set of players on both sides some matches take almost the entire game because either both teams are slow af or both teams are neck and neck the whole time. I work 60hrs a week and this grind is just gross in comparison to the other solstice events period. Now if I had a dedicated group of PVP goons to play with that weren’t doing GS 24/7 (Guardian Services) in my clan then I wouldn’t care, but doing this solo or with people that have a slower play style it sucks.

6 RepliesIt’s really not that big of a deal. You have to do more than that amount of work for all the pve challenges. It is odd to have no boost for second or third characters in general allowing for more time to grind exact rolls a person would be looking for.

5 Replies25 crucible/gambit matches vs how many different PvE quests?

1 ReplyPrior Solstice required Raid completions, I believe Nightfall completions, and I think Trials wins. Per character. Then they adjusted the glow to unlock account wide once completed. Hate they went back to character based glow unlocks this year. But everything was much easier.

3 RepliesWas not bad last week with Mayhem. Those matches are usually pretty quick. BTW, I hate PvP.
