As much as i Love the improvement that is CBMM, i Still run into Cheaters regardless of Connection Based, and with that being said, Why should things be So Chaotic with the Match Making as it currently stands. I went Card after Card after CARD Facing stacked teams that need to, Ahem, TOUCH GRASS!!! Only to have my Flawless Card be against players that didn't stand a Chance against my team..... TELL ME THAT MAKES ANY FREAKING SENSE!!!
Let's be Honest! The LOOT From the Lighthouse is Pathetic Anyways, so the Only thing of Value from the Flawless IS The Flawless Itself, The Experience of Getting Flawless.
So whatever may come, Make Solo Trials Permanent, And Return To SBMM!

If everyone goes flawless then the ‘experience’ of going flawless is lost. There needs to be changes (definitely not the ones you are proposing) that’s clear but addressing issues like card resetting and win farming could go a long way. Trials was recording numbers like 30%+ of the player base going flawless some weekends and I think this is a good percentage. I think the non flawless experience is the one that’s needs to be made better.

SBMM was Never in Trials to begin with.

Who said Trials ever had skill based matchmaking at any time. The only skill based system in Trials is card progress and of course players deciding that they are good enough to play. Trials is a hard core pvp mode made to challenge the best pvp players in the game. While Bungie has made it easier for players to play Trials and get rewards they will only hold your hand so far. If you want to go to the Lighthouse you have to prove you are worthy by defeating all opposition no matter what skill level they are. It is as close to true competitive level game play you will get in Destiny. Any kit, any ability and any skill level... that all that counts is if you win or lose at the end. No one is forcing you to play. As a wise man once said "if you can not take the heat stay away from the fire".

Trials never had sbmm and if you want to go to lighthouse you need to expect that you can match better players, with less population you will match against them more frequently. And how matchmaking will help you to match against less cheaters?

Trials is Endgame PvP. When you step into it, expect to find players as such. Expect to see teams of 3 because it's a team based mode. If you don't want to make your own team, then wait for Freelance. It never had SB. It's always been CB and then loosely card based.
