This post is regarding the Crown Splitter, Quick Fang and Eternity’s Edge. Swords in general are already an under used weapon type in Destiny 2 and blocking these off from 2/3 of players doesn’t help their situation. There are no class specific perks on them so there’s no reason they should be class locked other than aesthetics.
I'd actually prefer the mobility buff from a lightweight frame Sword. However, if the swords stay class based then we are blocking off 2, potentially 3 unique weapon frames from 2/3 of the community.
Think of it this way; what if, only Titans could use 120rpm hand cannons because they "hit the hardest," then only warlocks could use 140s and Hunters only get to use 180 rpm hand cannons. Ya'll would riot, like legit pitchforks in the streets riot and you know it.
But why would you riot, why would you care if Igneous Hammer could only be used by Titans? ...Exactly. Unique class abilities, jumps, and armor exotics? Sure, those are great. Just don't limit an already limited weapon class again, especially since these frames are so much fun to use. Let everyone enjoy them.
All classes, all swords.

Edited by Infamous067: 7/27/2022 11:19:29 PMI have always wanted this too, nothing will make me happier than running a quick fang on my warlock. I would pair it with devour to become a jedi sith lord. Back in vanilla d2 when we had double primaries, running a sword with devour was actually a viable build. I had a ton of fun running that until bungie returned specials into the game. It would also look really cool to see a hunter running a crown splitter or a titan using the warlock sword for the infinite guard perk.
