I've played a multitude of games over the past 20 years but never have I played an online only game that has servers this bad. I've got some of the best Internet this side of the capital so it's definitely not my connection despite the "error codes" insisting it's an issue my end.

Outdated engine + P2P

Just in case anyone doesn’t know this game uses an modified Halo Reach engine. 12 year old modified engine on top of peer to peer, on top of cross play connectivity. Idk why anyone would take this games pvp that seriously, especially on a 12 year old engine regardless if it’s been modified.

Anthem, many cods, apex can be touchy, any other p2p game, Minecraft’s realms ffs can be absolute trash far too often. I could name more but I’m finished in the bathroom so I’ll leave it at, a lot of games have server issues, and I too have been gaming for over 20 years and a lot of games have garbage servers. I can’t honestly think of one game that didn’t have issues or a string of them within a short period at one point or another

I have, it was called Outriders -
Just imagine if all that vaulted content was still in the game. It’d be a 200 gig file that you couldn’t even play.

All I know is with all the "rubberbanding", Bungie is missing out on an excellent opportunity to strike a deal with an office supply outfit for some sort of cross sponsorship. Instead of Trials of Osiris, it could be Trials of Office Depot. Okay, that was funnier in my head, but the lag and rubber banding are a problem...

I get error code bee that’s because my only internet is a hotspot

Welcome to 2022 outdated P2P, where you spend money to support a business, but the business is too cheap to invest in their product. Never mind it's been this way since 2014. Edit: Corrections, it's been this way since 2001 🤦♂️ -
4 RepliesHere's a little secret, It's rarely ever the player's fault. When you play over 10 games that require always on connections or connections to servers, stream television shows at night, download files without interuption, but seem to only have 1 game that's constantly disconnecting you, it's that games devs who are the f-kin problem. I mean, if you're pulling Wi-Fi from the apartment next door because the old couple who lives there doesn't use a password and you constantly get dropped, yeah that's on you, but if you're paying for even cheap internet (it only takes 3 to 10Mbps to send game data), then you shouldn't be getting disconnected as much as D2 errors us out.

3 RepliesI played on better servers in 1998 with dial-up. Not hyperbole.

1 ReplyEver tried Ark official servers during a raid?
-
I have. That title goes towards Anthem.

6 RepliesAhhh, another kiddo not listening to the error codes that CLEARLY tell you where the problem is xD

People still just don't understand what Peer to Peer means. They have no issues so to them and their undeveloped brains it's "yOuR IsP"
-
Of course It is not your fault, it is never your equipment. And of course you have no tools and equipments to mesure your 🤡 connection.
-
Clearly you’ve never played SMITE or Ark
-
I get 'Contacting D2 servers' but haven't had a big issue in a while. I play DBD and have learned to appreciate D2's servers lol. Bc damn.
-
Myth might have had better servers
-
Its not about connection or speed its all about configuration . Welcome to Bungie.
-
Really? I’ve played games with servers definitely this bad or worse. Though it is rare for a AAA game that’s still being supported for this long.
-
There are no dedicated servers in destiny 2. Its peer to peer. Its your connection.

5 RepliesHave you played Destiny 1, especially IB? It was pretty bad back then too. You could argue even worse at some points and that was WITHOUT PC or Crossplay. 🫠
