No, i'm not even talking about balance.
Edit because this is getting ridiculous, so i'll shout it from the rooftops.. [b][u]I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT ANY ABILITIES BEING MORE POWERFUL THAN OTHERS. I SIMPLY WANT EQUAL ABILITY CUSTOMIZATION FOR ALL CLASSES. STOP SAYING "but this is better than that" IT ISN'T ABOUT WHAT'S BETTER. [/u][/b]
For reference in Solar 3.0:
Hunters have 3 super variants, 3 dodges, 4 melees, all three of their aspects don't overlap too much with those existing abilities/are completely dependent on them.
Warlocks have 2 super variants, 2 " real" class abilities (phoenix dive should be bundled in with icarus you all know it), 2 melees, and 3 aspects.
Titans have 2 super variants, 2 class abilities, 2 melees, and 3 aspects again, but one of them literally just overrides the melee, so why isn't it just a melee?
Again, to recap the ability split:
Hunters: 3,3,4,3
Warlocks: 2,3*,2,3
Titans: 2,2,2,3*
(Asterisks for pain points i talked about above)
No, for the record this isn't just a Solar problem. Void does this too but to a MUCH MUCH lesser extent (Warlocks and Hunters getting a whopping 1 melee, 3 super variants on Hunter/Warlock compared to 2 on Titan).
OCD aside, it's absurdly frustrating. I cannot fathom how you can reasonably decide to have a class have nearly double the customization in this regard compared to the other two. Solar 3.0 really makes me feel like you guys all heavily favor Hunters.
Datto brought up and said in Arc 3.0 he wouldn't be surprised if we saw you guys make an extra super for arc hunters and I'm just sitting here contemplating, because I think that would be wise, but on the other end of the spectrum it's gonna really piss me off if you guys go the extra mile to add even more to the Hunter kit with an all new super while Titans and Warlocks get pushed aside?
I genuinely don't understand how in light 1.0, 2.0, and stasis you guys nailed it from this perspective. Each class had the same amount of abilities to choose from. Why in the hell are we abandoning equal amounts of abilities for every class now?
[b]TLDR, Hunters have nearly double the abilities/class ability customization in solar 3.0 than the other two classes. This isn't about balance or what's good, it's about giving every class the same amount of tools to play with.[/b]
