Bungie if you are goning to keep things the way they are now, please reduse red frames needed from five to three for crafting on all weapons, and weapon leveling from twenty to ten for masterwork and all perk unlocks. The way it is now is to long and unfun imo. Also why do we have a collections tab if you never utlize it? It's useless.

Totally agree. I don't want to use a weapon without good perks for so many hour just to get 20 and have good perks. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of crafting if you are stuck with a weapon without perks for such a long time? I wish I could bump this post one hundred times.

1 ReplyI have been grinding/no lifing the derelict, ran the quest on all three characters, got all triumphs from the derelict, spent hundreds and hundreds, may be thousands of opulent umbral energy, completed duality on all characters since release and farmed it on several characters, normal and hard mode, and I’m still missing: - 5 tears of contrition - 5 Nezarec - 5 fixed odds - 4 epicurean - and the likes It’s ridiculous. The grind is too unrewarding. Crafting seasonal weapons is pretty much all there is to this season, but if we can’t even do that then what is it we’re doing to ourselves? Insanity is the only outcome.

I got almost everything I wanted this season within about a month so I think it’s fine. It was a little tedious at towards the end but it was worth it. So I think the it’s fine at five instead of three

TheShadowBungie is no more... - old
The way it is now is to long and unfun imo.
They don't care, it's literally designed to keep you playing. Most of the things Bungie designs these days are about padded playtime, and not you or anyone for that matter is going to stop them from using this flawed logic. -
5 RepliesCollection tab ....its a collection tab.....basically a trophy room ...and lets remember that year 1 weapon had no rolls As for weapon crafting ....I invite you to look up datto recent video on it he raise plenty good point Like how making it easier would just go back to how year 1 was with loot and only craft able would be useful or how this isn't meant to replace random rolls and is basically a bad luck protection system that will give you a god rolls ...all stuff I've been saying for months btw

1 ReplyEdited by Nicky-Powers: 6/29/2022 8:12:44 PMDude I spent an entire week. Ran the entire available haunted story on all 3 characters. Grinding my guts out for chests and that energy you need to focus at the skull. Look at my play history I have no lifed this game and just today cashed in all that energy... Other than the ONE guaranteed red frame... nothing. Not one single red frame dropped after hours upon hours of stock piling that energy. I did get a red framed beloved to drop in the opulent chest farming.... A weapon I already had 5 red frames for of course. And even then I had to buy most of those as the garneted weekly drop. So today I said eff it. I will do the story beats maybe work on some odds and ends that interest me but I'm done chasing the red frames. I am going to play something that respects my time. I will buy them week by week and just leave the game be. This system actually encourages people not to play and wait the weekly guaranteed drop. I can only imagine people with limited play time feel. This system BLOWS. No I don't want things handed to me as the Bungo blowers would cry out. I want my time respected.

3 RepliesYou're probably going to find better rolls on the ground while farming for the patterns. Every weapon I've built is inferior to randomly dropped guns, and not even worth the grind to level them up. The only upside that I've seen is that for a ridiculous amount of materials, you can swap out perks if you don't like your choices after you've unlocked everything. And maybe the added stats of enhanced perks, but I don't think it's worth it.

I was thinking less effective perks at 1 better tier perks at 5 then less effective and used enhanced perks at 10 and then the top tier picks at 15. This way u can have some kind of decent weapon to use while grinding for the enhanced perks. Why do some enhanced perks unlock before the top tier regular perks it doesn't make sense.
-
Totally agree. I've decided to craft just the MiniCalus smg. Already I have the pattern unlocked and enough materials. But the grinding... with a weak copy for upleveling... make me re-think if actually want to do it just becouse already have a very good one, with good perks (not enhanced) and is it in the DIM wishlist. Each time I get a red borded one, check if I have enough copies to unlock the pattern; if yes, I delete any additional one because my inventory is plagged of that red stuff. If I decided not to craft a specific, I delete all the redborders taking care of do not delete a good roll. Finally I dont give a f*k for the associated triunfs.

1 ReplyI like the premise of crafting. I don’t like the time investment required to craft a gun to lvl 16 in order to reshape with enhanced perks. Beloved took forever and now that it’s complete I’m sick of using it. I’d like to think the reason we craft our god rolls is because those are guns we really want to use when playing the game. Not be burnt out by the process to get them there.
-
the way I look at is, you'll most likely get a good enough roll to tide you over till you can craft. not going out of my way to farm that stuff. I just play and I'm one way from most of them except beloved. I think ranking the weapon is ok, but agree it could be quicker to unlock the perks to craft it the way you want it. honestly crafting an Austringer and Beloved and I'm good
-
I feel it besides grinding the rep for the reset trial I crafted the glaive that I didn't care for, crafted Austringer mini tool and beloved but I can't be asked to grind shuro with a snipet that has no aoe till level 13 like bro why. We are what week 5 and I'm already burnt out and the new dungeon weapons not being craftable is such an L.

Definitely needs a tier system for sure. Like why are haunted weapons at 5 when imo the opulent ones are the desired ones. Why are 2 opulent weapons in dungeon for no apparent reason and cost 5 with a heavily armor focused drop rate bias in dungeon. Some weapons take too long to level like anyone tried leveling a sniper lately? They need to pick and choose and they know what’s got better stuff on it so they can easily give us some 2 and 3 deep sight required stuff just to get some new stuff to unlock rather than have everything at 5 such that you start unlocking most of season several weeks in all on top of each other when the content has run dry and the grind has lost meaning. At 6-8 weeks in which seems to be where the current deep sight system starts throwing most everything at you in pattern unlocks then you have finished all content other than GM’s and such which means now you have a bunch of lvl 1 weapons that you have nothing worth playing to level them. Half of the patterns need to be unlockable by week 2-4 for the low quality weapons to use when getting seasonal weeklies and stuff done and play with while getting the good stuff. I would argue haunted weapons all are lower quality than opulent and have no place having both lower drop chance and a requirement of same number of deepsights.
-
I wouldn't be as annoyed with the red border grind if the weapons that are crafted leveled up much faster.
