I am a returning player and got stasis, only to see we have to grind to unlock fragments and aspects. Grinding is always part of this game, but the quests are just bad. They are annoying and boring.
For example, Defeat 70 enemies in strike playlists while they are frozen. Really? This is the second time I’m doing this objective. Takes too long, especially because it is tied to strikes. Strikes are a problem for these quests. Normal Strikes are extremely easy, which means enemies die fast when shot by other players, and you can’t go in solo. Too many players just speedrun or kill everything in seconds. It becomes a race. By the time I have my grenade ready there are no enemies left in the area or I killed 1 enemy when I could have killed 5, and it’s a wasted opportunity to advance the quest.
And then Aspect quests, which include PvP activities. Why?
Stasis is a fun subclass to use but getting fragments and aspects is not fun.

I used Ager's Scepter for most of the "frozen" kills, and good old fashioned Stasis weapons count towards the "get x kills with Stasis". The missions came out before Stasis weapons were available. Imagine how much more grindy it was when it first launched.

Just launch nightfall on hero mode and do your things in free roam.
-
Easiest way to complete this one is use the Stasis Trace Rifle Exotic. You literally freeze them and kill at same time.

Truly wish I could just pay for it to be unlocked. Recently deleted my female titan, because alot of the armor doesn't look right and created a male one. Campaigns aren't that bad, but I think I'd rather be kicked in the nuts instead of unlocking the stasis crsp again. Lucky for me I hate stasis on the titan, no rush to do it again. But would happily pay 5 bux for it to auto unlock.

What platform do you play on? I’m on PS, for the strike grind, you can move your date and time forward, and load into instances by yourself… if not on PS, I’d recommend loading into hero nightfall.. pretty sure that’s the first one requiring a fireteam.. if you load in without a fireteam, you can kill everything by yourself. Also, some nightfalls load you into a patrol area, and you can just farm them… If you want, send me a Bungie friend request, and I’ll throw stasis on and help you freeze stuff.. those fragment quests are a PITA. Eyes up:).

Edited by Dopamine: 6/30/2022 1:38:02 AMager's scepter does def make it easier. i recommend it, stasis on all 3 classes is quite fun, easily my fave on warlock and they offer a lot of utility sometimes sought after in high level pve (classy resto kinda overshadowing that a bit tho). if i didn't have ager's i would def not have enjoyed the 'kill 40 enemies affected by stasis in strikes' because you can't do strikes solo. there's honestly not that many. i think even the last 2 you get basically for free. WORSE than all this if you can believe it is the weekly unlock limit of 2 for the stasis fragments. sheesh. just get your pinnacles done and then knock it out. it'll take probably a solid session of gameplay in a single day across all 3 classes.

I still have not gotten the last fragment for Stasis. I can’t bring myself to do it. They wasted time building an exotic that has no practical use, except for obtaining fragments. Just give it to me already. Allow me to purchase it like I did for Void and Solar.
Defeat 70 enemies in strike playlists while they are frozen.
If you have it, i would suggest using Ager's Scepter, i did it recently on my titan and it burned through that objective in a single strike
-
And they made it even easier than the OG quest
-
True. I ain’t done the stasis quest on my Titan, and I don’t plan to. The 2nd grind on my warlock almost killed me. Won’t do it until the give them to us like void and solar.

It might be faster to wait until season 19 and buy it from Ikora. Did it on one character didn't bother with the others.
-
Just start a NF solo. Kill frozen enemies. Easy. Use cryostesia for even faster completions.
-
Getting the stasis unlocks was one of the most laborious tasks ever, I never fully unlocked it on my 3rd char. Im Shuddering just thinking about it

Just 1 of the plethora of time padding schemes brought to us by buggies skinner box team who's offices are located on the top floor of the buggie building.

The quests require you to continously run from a starting point to a distance so -blam!- far away and does this like 83747492 times. I wouldn't consider it even a quest when the vast majority of the time you are running needlessly. There isn't true substance, just time burning. Luckily you will finish that and the other subclasses are mostly unlocked with the rest of the pieces at Ikora for next to no glimmer. I understand you are frustrated but Bungie has already like a year ago been swamped with this feedback and they even listened and that's why there is no quests for Void 3.0 or Solar 3.0.. No need to beat that dead horse.

Try Ager's Scepter.
-
That's why I only ever did one character. I'm now doing the other two and forgot how much of a drag it is. What was the point of doing Gambit X2 for it....

Edited by KaiGaines: 6/29/2022 2:44:40 PMTrue. Stasis is a slog to unlock.

This was the actual reason a friend of mine permanently quit Destiny, who had played since D1. Possibly the last straw for her.

Quest are easy. I suspect a skill issue involved here.

There's no trouble getting these things unlocked. It takes time, but thats it

Get better

The quests are annoying, but stasis is pretty nice when it’s all leveled up!
