Allo there,
Bungie is currently investigating this issue. The slot became bugged, it wasn't removed intentionally. They have fixed it so future armour wont lose the slot but they are now investigating how to restore the slot for users.

Shouldnt be that hard to fix these issues especially since nothing new has been added to the game entire season has been adding back old sunset content only thing new we got us pathetic bugged broken season and on top of that void could use any void gun yet solar cant makes no sense
