Looking at Destiny 1, it’s a lot darker than D2 is. Like, a lot a lot. Going through a Hive fortress felt like a beast could appear out of nowhere and slaughter you, and visual effects on weapon fire and abilities stood out so much more. Most scenes in D2 might as well be in plain sunlight, and the effects often blend into the scene. Everything looks flat. This also betrays the tone of the game, which is supposed to be semi-apocalyptic and horrific in many places. Adding a contrast setting would be awesome and make the incredible destinations in this game that much more beautiful.
